I don't think this has been posted. It's a very quick commentary from Ana behind the scenes. Bthere.tv also has 2 segments with Gisele. Enjoy! http://www.bthere.tv/story.asp?sid=76

Anyone else here think Gisele looked better in her younger days before Victoria's Secret got to her? I think she looks the prettiest when she's natural looking without so much eyemakeup and when she dresses herself (IMHO VS has really bad tastes in fashion)... but maybe that's just me...

Ummm...she has like 20 pounds of makeup on- IMHO. I think in most of these posts all the girls have makeup on ... any picture taking by Sports Illustrated or any magazine requires cosmetics. Anyway, I heard from someone who works with a modeling agency that most models are no where near as beautiful in real life as they are in their modeling pics. However, she did say that Petra Nemcova is the exception. In her words: "she has flawless skin." Anyway, I'm not going to argue that Adriana is not beautiful. She is but just not my type. I prefer more sharp and less rounded features. BUTTTT....PLEASE DON'T KILL ME... as I did say, she IS beautiful!
  7. THANK YOU! I was trying to figure out how to do it. :trout:
  8. Gisele: Natural Glamorous Petra Natural Glamorous I thought about adding body pics but you all know what they look like by now...lol!

I never was a fan of Dicaprio in the first place. I wonder if he really did cheat on her...what an idiot if he did!

I bought this one for my trip to Mexico. I love them because they fit Brazilian style so its smaller. Sits low on the hips with a nice snug fit in the butt region. The tops are really small though so some people may have to occasionally check so that nothing has popped out...oops! The quality and construction is great! They are by TNA.

Pluck slowly & carefully, because eyebrows don't grow back quickly and sometimes won't grow back the same if you over do it. A good tip I got from a magazine was to pluck one hair at a time and then step back and look at it from afar. Sometimes if you stare too closely too long, you lose perspective of the big picture.... I've learned my lesson.

  14. I'm not into male models because many of them look too young, feminine and delicate. I like my man to be a man not a boy. Also, I just can't drool over a guy whose job is to take pics in his undies...but that's just my honest opinion. I am much more swayed by personality than looks! Being beautiful on the outside isn't enough to get me interested (I live 3 miles from Beverly Hills so I see lots of pretty boys everyday and it gets old)! Also, I look to female models for fashion, makeup, and hair tips!

Some tips for flawless skin is to use a good basic cleanser that cleans well but does not strip the skin. It is not exciting but what dermatologists recommend. For dry skin, try Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser and for oilier skin, Cetaphil has a foaming cleanser. The Gentle Skin Cleanser does not remove makeup well so you may have to use a separate makeup remover. People with oily skin tend to over cleanse and strip their skin of its natural oils. When you do this, the skin will actually overcompensate for the stripping by secreting even MORE oils. So the goal of cleansing is not to get it squeaky clean but to get it cleaned but also PH balanced. There are lots of options out there but also lots of formulations that have ingredients that may actually make your skin behave badly. This is because things that smell good sells even though fragrance (no matter natural or synthetic) is irritating to your skin. If anyone is interested, this might help a bit: http://www.zerozits.com/Articles/acnedetect.htm#inglist IT helps to get to know what actually goes into a product so you don't waste your money on something that won't work or will make things worse. Lastly, do not ever try too many new products at once. If your skin gets irritating or breaks out, you'll never know which product did it. Try things one at a time. Your skin takes about 2 or more weeks to show its full effects. I hope that helps!!!

Never wear too much makeup: I hate foundation! The focus is on skincare for me. The better your skin is, the less makeup you have to wear. Lots of liquids. Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat #2 for highlighting. Rosebud Lipsalve for a naturally shiny pout. Not a very exciting secret... and most importantly, treat everyone as you would like to be treated! Spread the love baby!

Daria always gets the best outfits in her editorials. For example, I like Petra but I think her editorials are always lacking...leaves you wanting more in terms of fashion. Daria must really inspire the stylists at the fashion shoots or gets hooked up with the best stylists!
  19. Anyone know how old she is? She looks very young when she's not all dressed up.
  20. I think that there's nothing wrong with plastic surgery as long as somebody is doing it for themselves and not for anyone else (especially since it is considered serious surgery and requires maintenance for life). However, I also agree that one should never lie about it. It really is nobody's business but if you don't want to talk about it, then just tell people "no comment" rather than lying to the world that you're "all natural" or "born like this." In my opinion, no matter the reason/excuse, it's ALWAYS best not to lie. A lie is a lie is a lie regardless of the reason. I think lying about your surgies also leads to many negative implications for women. But that's a whole other issue...

This debate will never be settled. None of us knows any of these models in real life. Anytime they're in the public eye, they are famous enough to know they have to be "on" to maintain their career. THey will always be somewhat putting on a show. We will never know and even if we DID know them personally, judging somebody's personality is so subjective. Just look at people's selection of friends; it varies so drastically! No matter, can't we all just appreciate both of them...lol! Or for all you guys out there, both of them...together maybe I vote: Make Love NOT War!!!

Petra because Josie seems slutty/dirty which may be exactly the reason why she's #1 for some people...lol!

Oh yeah, and did anyone else notice she usually has really clear and even toned skin? I wonder if she uses a lot of Clarins products since she's their main model....

I love Petra for her beauty inside and out. Here is an excerpt from her book, I hope it hasn't been posted. "I read once that when people are dying, their whole life is flashing before them. I wasn't so sure I was dying, but while I waited, and prayed for help to return for both myself and all the others I began to think about Simon first and then my mother, my father, my sister, my grandfather, my grandmothers, my friends my work. I believe that there is a pattern to life, and lying there, cradled in the palm tree, I could see how what had gone before in my life was making it possible for me to survive." For more: http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/NewYearsRenewal/...=1369271&page=1 She never really stood out to me until I saw her on the Sports Illustrated video. She seemed really genuine & kind. Then with the Tsunami circumstance and how she dealt with it, I really grew to respect her as a woman and person. I hope she finds somebody who can love her and who she can love as much as she loved Simon Atlee. Ok, I'm getting too emotional...LOL...time for me to go!
  25. ROFL!!!! HAHAHAHAHAH....I can't control the laughter! That is just the perfect representation of Paris.
