Last movie you saw...
^ I saw it too a few weeks ago. I thought it was a typical french film: slow pace, about some "petite bourgeoisie" problems, not disagreable to watch for utterly forgettable. I Am Not a Serial Killer: I read the book a about 6 months ago, the film is pretty true to the book, but I'm not sure it really makes for a good movie. It's not great, but just okay.

The "What Are You Thinking About Right Now?" PIP
@elfstone The guy I was listening to was trying to vulgarize what he was saying, and still couldn't help use some greek and latin terms and expressions that make his discourse incomprehensible, because says he, the french words do not reflect the notion properly. I suppose I should read his books instead, at least I could take the time to read several times and use a dictionnary if I don't understand.

From what I understand, nowadays the Moulin Rouge is about French Cancan dancers and circus-like spectacles, nothing particularly racy. Since it's in Paris, maybe I will pay attention this year, last year I saw some pictures but I didn't bother with the CBS show.

I guess, but kid shows have their limitations, namely a lack of a serial element. Blindspot S2

Why do philosophers always have to use such a complicated language, you almost have the impression that they make unnecessarily convoluted sentences to express simple notions.

Murder in the first S3 : not their best season. I didn't like the romance between the main protagonists, this kind of relashionships have been done to death already. The police investigation was unfocused and all over the place with the million suspects, indictments and drops of charges or arrests for things that had nothing to do with the main investigation. And the resolution of the crime was way to convinient (a recording, really ?). Oddly enough, I found the side plot with the DA charged with DUI more interesting.

The Official Victoria's Secret Thread
@Sanni But that's the problem. In the end, is this list an advertising piece or a journalistic piece. If it's all about advertisement then sure, let's make a list of the highest paid models that people already know about or at least might recognise and let's not forget to mention constantly what companies sign their paychecks, I think VS is strangely over-represented in the list, even the photos they use as illustrations are from the VS fashion shows. If it's about journalism, then it shouldn't matter to them whether the person is popular or not. I sometimes doubt Forbes accuracy when it comes to these fortune estimations. I remember a few years back, some guy from Qatar(?) was mad because he said that Forbes underestimated his fortune, and more recently, this biotech woman went from an estimation of 5 billions to 0 for some reason.

Last movie you saw...
Little John. Hallmark movie about a woman who leaves her son for adoption, then is caught by her past when her 12 year old son resurfaces and it turns out that her father decided to adopt him. Decent passtime but forgettable. And I found the ending to be a bit unsatisfying.

The Official Victoria's Secret Thread
Reading this Forbes List makes me wonder if they don't have a VS bias. I mean, I'm doubtful that some of these VS new angels are that wealthy, especially considering that from what I understood from this thread, VS isn't as generous as it used to be with their spokesmodels. I sometimes wonder if this list is more about promoting the models rather than giving an accurate view of the models earnings. Also, do they count Rosie and Cara's acting pay checks in this list ? Edit: One last thing : I believe the first time Forbes did a separate list for models was in 2008. Gisele toppped the list with 33 million and the entry point was Stam with 1.5 million, and there were only 10 models. Fast forward now there are 20 models all above 4 millions. What happened ? Has there been an inflation in the models salaries, a change in favour of models instead of celebrities for big contracts ?
