@Clauds yeah you're right about Elsa and possibly Martha/Jasmine too. To be honest whether they keep some or don't I'm ok with it. I like the mix of girls we have. The top tier Angels don't have to work as much but still are recognizable. The newer girls get more popular. And VS have a bunch of girls to go to for stuff. Win win for everyone. I hope the swim special does a good amount of interviews with all the girls. Get a better chance of knowing them. Martha and Stella didn't even really get a solo segment in the last special like every other girl did. So I hope each girl gets something this time. With the announcement of Josephine do you think we will get her first commercial soon?

I think the girls in the swim special are safe for another year. If VS wasn't planning on keeping them around then they wouldn't have used them like Jac. Who like Clauds said most likely left on her own. Because the angel contract signing is definitely around this time for the new Angels. They all signed in Feb. I knew something was up around the time they were shooting the body commercial because they were all promoting the swim special even though most of them weren't in it. Lily could be going this year when her contract is up but we don't know when hers is exactly. She became an Angel in 2010. So back then 3 year was standard. Which would mean her 3 year is up this year. But when? So we will see at that point. I think it was before the 2010 show. Maybe before they filmed the holiday commercial. As for Jo. Saw it coming the moment she was announced for the swim special. I think Kate originally was hired because VS were going into the Russian market, but her lack of commitment for whatever reasons it was caused them to get rid of her. So now they've found her replacement in Vita. Should've been her from the beginning seeing as how she had been working for the company a lot. Happy for Josephine. She already fits right in with all the angels having worked with them all so much. If I was to cut any girls I would say bye to Behati, Romee, Martha and Stella. I love Martha and Stella. But really they aren't needed in the group. Behati just over her and Romee is ok but have never really cared for her. I would keep Adriana and Alessandra the way they are with VS right now. Coming in for the holiday commercial and the VS show. I think Candice and Lily make a great duo. And then Elsa, Taylor, Josephine, Sara, Lais and Jasmine can all do the hard work. And put in the hours that girls like Candice and Lily used to do.

This year when she shoots she is going to look so much better.

Double crush for me today. After my second viewing of Deadpool, I am obsessed with the gorgeous Brianna Hildebrand. And i've always been a fan of Matt Bomer. I finally finished watching White Collar and now i'm sad. He's my man crush for today.

While I don't think Ashley is changing the world I think it's a great thing for her and her career and she should enjoy the career boost. It's not her fault that she got that cover and Hailey got shafted because of it. Top news story so of course Ashley is getting all the attention. But Hailey will have a longer career with SI. I can't see Ashley lasting past two maybe three issues.

Has anyone tracked the social network followers of the girls? Especially Instagram? I started following Ashley around her rookie reveal and she had just hit 1 million followers. She gained 200k followers since then in the last week.

It's a shame but money talks. At least VS only were featured for their one girl. But like pretty said it was barely a swimsuit issue.

Her first two years she never wore VS suits though.

Yeah I noticed that when I looked through her set of pictures when the site went up. VS and SI must've struck a deal.

I thought this too or VS could've wanted both girls in the issue rocking VS swimsuits and SI said no only one girl or the other has to wear different suits. Sucks that Sara was the causalty. But I love Lily's shots for the issue so I'm happy.

These are my fav shots of the shoot. Malta had the best pops of colour of the shoot. Most energy. I am not a fan of Samantha but some of her shots were actually quite stunning. Especially when she isn't looking so trashy. These are my fav shots from Malta. (SI employ Ben Watts for the whole issue next time). Turks & Caicos was an underwhelming location but James did more unique and risky types of poses that weren't typical SI and I kind of liked that. Tahiti another meh location and doesn't help that Yu is horrible. But there was some shots I really liked. And last was Zanzibar. One of the best locations but the overexaggetated filter and colouring ruined a lot of the shots. I didn't like anything of Chrissy or Erin's shots.

Yeah who knows what they were thinking with Erin. Honestly it's a big mess. Poor girl.

Honestly Ben Watts should shoot the whole issue. His shots are always the best in each issue. They're so full of energy and colour. Yu and Ruven's shots the girls are all washed out. There's no colour in them and when there is it's yellow. James did ok. His shots in the past have been 10x better.

The boob job on Hannah D wow such a difference from the previous years to now. I'm in the minority but Ashley looks really sexy to me. Maybe they needed some better suits for her but I loved her shoot. She has such a striking face and for a more curvier girl her body is insanely good. I also really liked Lily's shots. I like that a lot of the girls look different in their shots. Erin really got the raw end of the deal. Everyone else looks pretty decent but I don't know what they did to the poor girl. I also really liked Robyn's shots. Hannah F is the standout. Less Photoshop is great too. Except for like I said what they did to the girls on the Zanzibar shoot.

From a photographer's standpoint the shots that were done in Malta were the best. The location was wonderful. The lighting was everything and the shots are crisp and perfectly focused. Now whoever shot Chrissy, Nina, Erin, Chanel and Sofia must be fired immeditaly. His photos were horrenodus of the girls. There was some great shots. But a lot of low light situation caused the ISO to be very high which makes the photos very grainy and unclear. Also the over use of editing on the photos was bad. They did what Yu did with the Hawaii shots last year. And it made a lot of the girls look really bad. The rest were ok. Yu was better than last year but I don't think he knows how to really light the girls. They always look so washed out. James Macari did fine as always. But yeah I think Ben Watts did Malta right? His shots were the best.

All of Lily's swimsuits were VS. So that could be a reason why Sara wasn't brought back. VS obviously want their girls in only VS stuff. So I doubt SI would put two girls in all VS swimsuits.

I don't see a rookie getting the cover as such a big deal. Really what's the difference of Hailey getting it seeing as how it's only her second year? Especially over girls who have worked a little longer like Emily D, Gigi, Nina, Chrissy, Hannah F, Chanel etc. They have to think about what sells and what's going to get them press/hype. Ashley and Ronda will do that for them and then they have regular SI type girl which will also get in people. Win win.

Ashley will still get a lot from this. It's a fairly big deal. I don't think getting the cover is definitely this big boost in career. I mean Hannah D really hasn't done anything since getting her cover. Girls like Kate, Irina, Brooklyn, Bar etc whether being with a famous guy or not they still have the name that people know. I think if you said Hannah Davis to anyone it would be a big what? Even though I love her. Hailey or Ashley might get major career boosts or get nothing. Time will tell. But I do think Hailey's will be the bigger seller.

Not that it matters but Mia def has had a boob job. Just the way they sit very high up and are perfectly round, especially in a swimsuit is an indicator. You can tell a lot more in the videos. At least they don't look like a botch job like Samantha I watched the videos and looked through the pictures. Dani is still top choice. I thought Megan was lovely in her videos. Didn't know she was British. Also Mia was lovely in her video. Kyra is wtf in everything. That face though. What's with the exact facial expression. She has a Chrissy type personality which is worrisome . Also can we just marvel at this shot.
