Birth Control
Well, I'm on Microgynon 30. My periods were always extremely heavy and they would last for about 7-8 days. I think the longest one was 10 days. Now that I'm on Microgynon they last for about 4-5 days and they're so light I don't have to change pads every ten minutes or sit in uncomfortable positions all week to stop from leaking all over the place. <_< I have no idea how much they would be if I had to pay for them, though. I'm guessing they're cheaper than Yasmin if no-one's heard about it; usually things that do the same as something else, but aren't heard about as much are cheaper.

Birth Control
I don't smoke, but my mum does and passive smoking is worse than actually smoking. So, I guess I still have all the risks that come along with it, even though I'm not taking them by choice. <_<

What Ethnicity are you?
Nationality: British. Ethnicity: Eurasian. I'm half Chinese, a quarter English and a quarter Welsh. LOL "oriental" is a term reserved for rugs and vases, not people!

I've never heard of this implant thing. It sounds scary.

Billie Piper
STATS Birth Date: 22nd September, 1982. Birth Name: Billie Paul Piper. Birth Place: Swindon, United Kingdom. BIOGRAPHY Although Billie Piper's initial interest was in acting which led to her attending the Sixth Sense theatre company and the Sylvia Young Theatre School, it was to be with music that Billie Piper was first to burst on to the scene. She caught the eyes of record producers who were interested in signing a young vocalist when she was the poster girl for the ad campaign of a British pop music magazine, Smash Hits. She was signed by Virgin records and released her first single, "Because We Want To", which debuted at #1 at age 15. Her second single "Girlfriend" was also a #1 hit. By the time she turned 16, Billie had released 4 singles that all made the top three on the charts. She has been labeled the "Pop Princess" of England, UK. The success of the single Girlfriend meant that Billie Piper was the first UK female solo artist to have two Number 1s in the same year, since Cilla Black in 1964. In 2001 Billie Piper married Chris Evans and put her music career on hold, and when she returned to the scene with her second album it was not a commercial success. In recent times, having split up from Chris Evans, Billie Piper has turned increasingly towards acting. Piper acted in the BBC dramas The Canterbury Tales, Bella and the Boys, and a modern adaptation of The Miller's Tale. She also had a role in The Calcium Kid. However, Billie Piper's most successful role to-date has been alongside Christopher Eccleston as Doctor Who's sidekick, Rose Tyler, in the cult BBC sci-fi show. FILMOGRAPHY

Rianne Ten Haken
^ Didn't somebody mistake those two Versace ones for Adriana Lima, once? I'm pretty sure I've seen those before on an Adriana thread and everyone was arguing about whether it was Adriana or not.

Birth Control
In Britain you get the birth control pill for free until you're 18, but if you go into full-time education at sixth form college and on to university, you still get it for free. So, I won't be paying for it for another two years.

That Time Of The Month
I'd never take Depo... One time I was considering it, but my ex friend (she got married and left the country without telling anyone! ) went on it and it made her pain several times worse and if she missed an injection she'd be curled up crying for days. I can't remember what else I have heard about it, but I do remember most of it was bad!

That Time Of The Month
Yes, I'm going to check with my doctor because I definitely don't want to end up in constant pain for a week, even if it means messing up my holiday. O_O

That Time Of The Month
Thanks for all of your responses to my question a few pages back. I keep hearing about this Yasmin pill. I don't know if it's available in the UK, but a friend is going to ask to be put on it and if she can get it, I'll probably ask for it, too. Even though I'm already on the pill, I still get some nasty pains. They're evil. What really sucks is that I will be bleeding for like half the time I am on holiday. <_< I'm going on holiday with my family and my father's boss wouldn't let him have two weeks off work and that was the only time he could convince his boss into letting him go. I won't even be able to get an all over tan with my new tan-thru swimming costume! So, I'll still get stupid tan lines because I don't use tampons and so I can't wear it. I bleed too heavy, anyway and I know the blood still drips through. Everyone seems to think it will be okay to skip that period by going straight onto my next packet of pills, but when my aunt did that she experienced pains so bad she was in bed for a week... then again, it could have something to do with which pill she was taking and how old she is and most people seem to think it's fine as long as I don't do it regularly.

That Time Of The Month
I'm turning 20 soon and that's when you have to go have a cervical smear done in the UK (apparently. My doctor has never said anything about it). I'm kind of nervous about it, though. My mum hasn't exactly helped; she made it sound horrible and scary. I've had breast exams before, but the person who did them really hurt me; I nearly cried! Does anyone know if they can tell whether you've had sex or not? The reason why I'm asking is because my mum said I had to lie that I had a boyfriend to go on the pill (I had the most awful pains, nausea, loss of appetite, fever, etc. and nothing was working to get rid of those things) and so I did. My friend and her mother go to the same doctors and they didn't have to lie to go on it, even though they wanted the pills just so they wouldn't have their period when they went on holiday! When I told my doctor I had all those horrible pains and everything, they wouldn't give it to me. I don't know why going on holiday is so much more important than that. <_<

Swimsuits
That's what I just said: What I meant was what is cheap to UK people is expensive to US people. Which is the same as saying things are cheaper in the US than they are in the UK. Like you said; $54 to you guys is very expensive, but to us Brits it is the average price for a swimming costume. Sorry, I didn't phrase it very well. LOL

LOL I still use the highest factor sunscreen. Especially after I met this lady in Portugal. She was in her 60s and she always tanned without sunscreen and it ruined her skin; it was all lumpy as if she had cellulite all over her body and it was covered in grey and brown blotches. It started when she was in her 20s, but by then she already had done irreversible damage to her skin. I wouldn't want to end up like that. x_x

Hair
I'm really sorry to hear that... *Hugs* My grandfather passed away from cancer, too and I was very close to him. It has been 8 years since then and sometimes I still cry. It was horrible because he died a little while before Christmas and we always had him come round for dinner on Christmas day... That Christmas was just awful and I can't imagine how bad it was for my grandmother to cope; she still ends up crying and getting drunk every year on the anniversary of his death. I have even kept the last thing he gave to me; an old 50p coin which they don't produce any more and I have a plush cat that used to belong to him, too.

I get that, but it's just with my face for some reason; it tans waaay slower than everything else and the weird thing is I don't even wear make-up, so there isn't anything stopping me from tanning. And if anyone wants to tan all over, but doesn't want to go to a nude beach, you can always buy a tan through swimming costume.

I don't mind at all. =) It's Raquel Jaramillo.

Swimsuits
I've already got a swimming costume which is tan through, so when I go on holiday I won't have those annoying tanlines and have to worry about what clothes I wear when I get back. The only thing that annoyed me is that I couldn't buy the bikini version because it only came in size 10 (which is either size 6 or 8 in US sizing), but I'm size 8 (4 or 6 US). And it needs to be that size else it's baggy on top because I have no boobs. The rest of me is good enough to show off, though. Unfortunately that can't be done in a swimming costume that makes me look completely flat. Damn my evil boobs for restricting me to ugly clothes that make me look even uglier. >=(

Hair
Do you have short, medium, or long hair? I would say medium (about 6 inches past my shoulders), but I used to have really long hair; it was so long I could sit on it. It always got in the way and people bullied me for it so I chopped it all off. Are you a blonde, red-head, or brunette? Brunette. It's more of a chestnut/red-brown colour with natural blonde streaks towards the front. Do you dye it often or leave it natural? Natural. What kind of products do you use? Shampoo, conditioner, tried hair spray once to give it more volume, but it just made my hair look greasy. Is it fine, thin, or thick? Apparently it's thick (according to my hair dresser), but I have absolutely no volume to it; it's totally flat on the top of my head so it looks thin. I think it looks hideous because it makes my face look fat. Is it naturally straight, curly, or wavy? Sometimes it's straight, other times it's very wavy. How often do you cut your hair? About every 2/3 weeks if I can.

First Kiss <3
Aww, don't worry. We'll both have a first kiss eventually! And at least we're not alone in not having had one, yet. LOL Acro - You're right. They are destroying nice guys' reputations and what's even worse is that this guy was pretending to be a nice guy and he was so good at it he had everyone fooled! If things like this keep happening to me (not just with guys, but with friends, too) I will never trust anyone ever again.
-
First Kiss <3
I haven't had a first kiss, either. I've had plenty of chances, but none of them would've been special except for one. Though that guy turned out to be a deceiving, manipulative liar, so I'm glad I didn't kiss him!

Your beauty secret
Does anybody here know any recipes for natural face masks that do one or more of the following things: get rid of blackheads, shrink pores, smooth and soften the skin?
