    The only big thing is the Vogue cover, she got the Zac Posen campaign because they seem to be friends and he is not even a giant house. SI is a hot mess and i wouldn't say getting that cover a major thing, especially when it's something it had been done before for her. Also her movie flopped really really bad so Meanwhile, most of VS girls are getting contracts with beauty brands, walking major shows, etc. In the end, Kate's success was short, regardless of the reasons, I'm also sure those rumors of her being extremely hard to work with didn't help.

    Pretty much. Adriana was already very loved by VS, she opened segments every year and got wings every year while Gisele was there and always played big part in the campaigns and commercials. The thing is, they had less Angels back then so everyone got something. Now there's more girls that VS needs to keep happy so that means less focus on everyone.

    But then again, Kate did get really out of shape and her career went downhill, both modeling and "acting". So wether we like it or not, Sophia got the last laugh, considering the Angels are still booking things left and right and Kate is doing nothing Again, I love Kate and I was rooting really hard for her, but she made a lot of stupid choices that led to her career being the hot mess that it became.

    She wasn't one their most high profile models first of all, Kate did like two shoots for VS and that was before she made it big. I like Kate a lot, she's a beautiful woman and I think Sophia was a bitch for saying those things about Kate. However, i see now that it was the right call from VS to not keep working with her, it wouldn't have worked anyway

    Now that time has passed, I still think passing on Barbara was a mistake, but passing on Kate was the right choice for them. She's gorgeous but she went through a really unfit period where I don't think anyone was interested in seeing her half naked and her career went downhill as fast as it went up, so much that she had to crawl back to SI to re-gain some relevance. Barbara on the other hand, was 100% a mistake to let go, I'm sure she'd be their new main girl at this point.

    I think it could be because Elsa and Martha have been in the industry for a longer time, they already had their circle of close friends before VS. The rest of the girls I think see each other as a support system, they all started working in the industry around the same time and started working with VS at the same time as well, except Lais but she seems to be friends with literally everyone in the industry Stella is just different, she seems to have a different personality and she spends most of her time in LA. Kind of like Adriana who hangs out just with Lais and spends most of her time in Miami.

    This is completely true, they are very friendly coworkers but that's it, you won't catch them casually hanging out. Not sure about Ale, but as far as I know Adriana is close just to Lais from the current Angels (hence Lais constantly mentioning Adriana), and from the former girls she's friends with Doutzen and Karolina, and some other models but form the Angels that's it.

    My first choice for opening is Elsa cuz #mybae but is not her (i do think she got the SO because why else so many fittings wtf?) so I'm hoping for Jasmine or Sara. Honestly just anyone but Taylor or Josephine because they don't have the right energy for it. The rest I'd be alright with I guess

    Now I'm going to cry and be upset if this doesn't happen but it's probably not going to happen, Jasmine didn't lead the finale last year, it was Elsa and Adriana. I'm guessing this year it will be Lais and Adriana, which is almost as good because i love their mentor-apprentice relationship

    I'm 100% sure they are adding a bra, there is no way VS is risking nipplegate in the show, I mean I rather not have them adding one but they will for safety reasons. The press events they can fix it a thousand times if they want, with the show they have two takes and Lais actually has to walk with the bra, not just stand for pictures, they have literally just two chances of making it work, I just don't see them risking it, especially with the show being in China Also the color, no way a white girl was meant to wear this and the only other dark skinned model is Jasmine who wasn't getting it for sure.

    I think it's going to be a NA again, VS didn't give a fuckity fuck about Candice's comeback so far, I don't see them starting to care now, her not getting the FB this year IMO is a clear sign that VS is 100% pushing the NA. Alessandra and Adriana haven't opened since 2012 so they are way pass opening time at this point IMO, kinda like Heidi. And I'm more than fine with that, as much as I love Adriana and I think she's the best opener, I've come to terms with the fact that she ain't getting big things anymore. It's time to let the other girls shine, is not like they haven't earned it

    I'm thinkin they want to avoid jetlag and also make sure all the paperwork is in order so if something goes wrong they have enough time to fix it and get in the country in time for the 20th. Also, some girls may just want to do some touristic stuff because China is not a super common place they visit for work.

    LMAO I am dead at this dumbass theories Behati is seven months pregnant, meaning she got pregnant in April which is way before the FB is usually molded to the model. Also Behati's way way smaller in the chest than Lais. The only reason why the 2012 look it's because it was a basic black bra and panties set they sell in stores and they can change it easily

Clad in layers of Mouawad jewels, Ribeiro looks every inch the Victoria’s Secret Angel, but her journey from unknown to modeling superstar has been unique. Working with the mega-brand since 2010, she’s gone from being a rookie to becoming a regular presence in the company’s sultry imagery. Strutting down the glittery pink runway, starring in those Michael Bay–helmed Super Bowl ads, and posing alongside the supermodels she once looked up to, she’s now earned the honor of wearing what may be the world’s most valuable piece of lingerie. Getting picked for the Fantasy Bra, Victoria’s Secret’s annual custom merger of lingerie and jewelry that serves as a focal point within its televised shows, came as a surprise. She found out during fittings for the upcoming Shanghai show on November 20 and Ribeiro admits that the news overwhelmed her. “I had no idea that [the fitting] was for the bra,” she said. “I came in and when I tried it I cried, it was unbelievable.” Though VS’s Angel brigade is filled with model moms, Ribeiro began her career after the birth of her son, Alexandre. Growing up in a small town, she didn’t dream of Angel wings or making it on the catwalk. Instead, she wanted a career in which she could help people. “I was going to school to be a nurse and then everything happened very fast.” On the advice of friends, she entered a local modeling contest and found herself whisked off to New York City before she had learned a word of English. She credits fellow Angel Adriana Lima for taking her under her wing. “Adriana knows herself. She’s very strong, powerful, and sexy. It’s inspiring—she helped me a lot in the beginning of my career,” says Ribeiro, who upon experiencing her first Victoria’s Secret shoot knew she wanted to be a part of things for the long haul. “I remember Russell James was shooting me for that first catalog and Miranda Kerr was there. She had been in this business a long time and everything was completely new for me. I didn’t speak the language. She was just jumping up and down, throwing her hair and flipping. All I could think was, ‘How am I going to be like that?’ ” Thankfully, Ribeiro is a quick study. Learning from the best in the business, she is now the standard that newcomers look to. Following in the footsteps of fellow Brazilians like Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, and Gisele Bündchen, her career has come full circle. “I believe everything happens at the right time,” says Riberio. This year’s Fantasy Bra is done up in gold leaf and sapphires and comes with its own bejeweled belt. Although Ribeiro may need a bodyguard to make her way to the stage, she says she loves the design. “Personally, I love the colors on my skin tone and the big stones!” Though odds are she won’t be engaging in any heavy lifting à la her Vogue video, Ribeiro is expecting plenty of excitement in Shanghai. She’s looking forward not just to bringing the VS spectacle to a new city, but also having her family front and center to cheer her on. “I have my brother and my dad there so it’s going to be very special for me and I can’t wait to see their faces when I’m walking down the runway and just see their reaction!”
