I actually do like Lameka, not enough for her to become an Angel any time soon but I can see why they like her but she looks awfully awkward next to Martha, Stella and Elsa because she looks way way younger in a bad way. I'm SO SO happy! I legit shed a tear when it won the award. I've been an LGBT+ ally my whole and I've seen so many of my friends go through some serious bullshit just because of who they are and to see that this little show is helping people open their minds and change their views for the better feels great. It's a great thing to see, this show is for sure hilarious but it also comes with very important conversations, it's one of those shows that actually those impact and change society. ALSO, whoever picked Vixen's clip to be shown at the Emmys deserves an award

DING DING DING Really tho, they do need to change their marketing strategy. That being said, I feel like the casting this year is a step in the right direction, with a very few exceptions, they went with more mature looking models and more commercial girls than what we have seen in the past few years. I think part of the problem is, the fashion industry changed and their models are no longer appealing to the average american, VS took too long to notice that and they kept messing up the model choices. Hopefully this year we'll see the show head in a different, better direction.

It has very little (or does it?) to do with the show but I think one of the biggest fuck ups VS has done in recent years was getting rid of catalogs tbh, they were iconic and a constant visual reminder of the stores that made me want to go shopping, I'm usually too lazy to go to the stores or shop online on my own, but by getting the catalogs all the time I would find something I'd like and be like I'm gonna go get it! And then I'd spend more money in the store than what I had planned originally. I think getting rid of the catalogs lowered the brand's presence in households, therefore lowering people's interest in the brand. I agree with Pinky, this show ain't getting cancelled by 2020, maybe by 2025 but 2020 is too soon, I do see some major budget cuts and heads rolling if ratings take another 25% dip this year tho

That Chrissy gif was all of us watching her open her segment last year I was surprised tbh, Josephine has never been a Karolina/Gisele but she was always good or decent? Last year she was a mess in both outfits and especially her opening walk will go down IMO as one of the worst walks in the VSFS, it was just painful to watch. Can't remember the name of the segment but yeah, it was a mess. She was so much better in 2014 and 2015, i hope she doesn't start to go downhill like Adriana

I agree with this, I would love Jasmine or Lais to open the show. I think that from the NA they + Elsa have the best walks, but since Elsa opened already then I'd love it to be one of them, it's also LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG overdue to have a WOC open the show tbh.

Bitch, I can still read AND I ALSO DISAGREE, Doutzen never got Swarovski swag, never opened the show and never really got much love overall tbh. Elsa has (thankfully) already gotten all the could things except the FB. So I'm hopeful she'll get it this year, if she doesn't get it this year then I think the ship will have sailed. Being realistic I think there's only three ways this could go: Candice to see her as the new Adriana, Behati to welcome her back (which would be 100% bullshit) and Elsa because of seniority, after Lais and Jasmine she's the one with the most work with the brand, and VS has been surprisingly decent at respecting that since 2015. My ideal FB situation would be wore by my main girl Elsa, and it would be a mix of rose gold, pink and white diamonds with a similar shape to the 2005, 2006 or 2017 designs, or a blue that matches her eyes. I think it will worth 2.5 to 5 Million regardless of who gets it tho. As for the Hadids, I highly doubt that would ever happen. Karolina got it in 2002 but that was a completely different time and situation, i think there's no way we'll see a non-Angel wear the FB or open the show any time soon.
