As for the veterans, I found both Tori and Brooklyn a bit disappointing. I expected a bit more from Bar and Irina as well, I preferred their 2008 shoots to their 2009 shoot. The rest didn't really stand out positively or negatively. Overall I do think it's a bit of a disappointing. I'm not sure which, if any shots we'll remember from this issue in five years time...

What's everyone's take on Irina's SI pictures? I think they're alright, but I feel they could have been so much better. Perhaps they "underachieved" with her to leave something for when they do give her the cover?

I checked out Irina's pictures. They were good, not great. She didn't have something that could rival Bar's cover shot. Of course, we only get to see a small sample of the picture that were made, so it's hard to tell.

It's my favorite too! Lima never looked better.

But would her career have been significantly different if she didn't get the cover last year? I'm probably not the best person to judge that, but I'd say the effect would have probably been minimal.

Bar isn't the worst choice. I would have had more problems with someone like Brooklyn getting it. Anyway, Irina is still young, I'm sure she'll get the cover in time. Perhaps as early as next year. It's about time they went the brunette route again anyway.

This is a coincidence, I just considered watching Death Race last night. I know, it's crap, but it's entertaining crap.

Hey, would you guys say the SI cover changed MM's life? They're claiming it will significantly affect Bar's life and career. Yet from my perspective, MM had a good career before and after the SI cover. It just seems like a "crowning achievement" type of thing.

It's unfortunate Irina didn't get the SI cover, but at least now we can look forward to seeing her SI pictures very soon now!

Congratulations to Bar. I already said I was fine with her getting it if they didn't give it to Irena.

Brooklyn looks good there. I still hope someone else gets the cover though.

You didn't mishear, Rogue. Went online and checked, the initial release date (the one that was announced last Summer) was indeed February 20th 2009. They must have pushed the release date since then.

Damn, how things change. I originally joined ChilaX because of Josie. Now I hardly ever come into any of her threads. The same thing happened with me and Lima, I was a huge fan when I joined BZ, and now I only very scarcely visit her thread. It's good to see Josie is doing well, and she seems to have adapted well to her new role as a mother.

Yeah, I agree She seems like a sweet girl and has an amazing body, but IMO her nose looks like she was hit with a football ( * flashes back to Marsha Brady* ) I think has gotten better-looking over the years Does anyone know what else she does besides SI? I've never seen her doing anything else She looks fine to me. So does her nose. Gives her face a bit more "character". I think we're just too used to seeing post-nose job snouts to appreciate a more unique beak. She'd only have to ask me twice (the first time, I'd believe I'd misheard... )

It depends on how you look at it. I think within the current crop of SISE models, Brooklyn is probably closest to MM in terms of looks and body type. If we widen the scope, then I'd agree with you.

So, from what I read here and online, Brooklyn, Bar and Irena seem to be the favorites at this point. I don't know, I like Brooklyn, but wouldn't the fact that she's a similar type of girl to Marisa (the blonde surfer babe thingy ) actually hurt her chances of getting the cover this year?

I hope for Irina, but I fear that Bar will just edge her out. Not that I believe Bar on the cover would be terrible, but seeing Irina on the cover would be awesome.

horrible, she is too skinny no, she's not so skinny in those candids. she is just like all the other models out there She is very skinny, skinnier than a lot of other models. It's not like her body-type is the norm, even in the fashion industry... if we talk of models like marisa miller, bianca is not in that status anymore. but if we talk of high fashion, were bianca has to be, unfortunately she is in the norm (see vlada, tanya, jourdan). there are also high fashion models with curves, but we are talking probably only of isabeli, valentina, anne v. Even amongst high fashion models, she stands out. Elise Crombez is skinny as well, but not nearly as skinny as Bianca.
