The fact that Ms. Mitro felt the need to air something that rude about a model to the nytimes is absolutely ridiculous. Neither of those women, Rosie or Maryna are large in any way shape or form and to insinuate that they are, (when they have girls like Candice who are nothing but hip) and in such a rude fashion is beyond gauche. It's hurtful and unnecessary. She could have simply said that bodies change and sometimes aren't what they're looking for for the show this year. So first she goes on to say that they're looking for 'healthy' body types and casts Anja, then she goes on to insinuate that the real 'healthy' body types are basically fat. Either Ms. Mitro was dropped on her head at birth or she's been sniffing to much bleach or something... Regardless the women comes across as an absolute retard and a complete bitch. Perhaps they should recast her and get someone else to fill her position.

Supposedly there's only going to be 33 girls this year, so if 27 are confirmed then that leaves 6 unknowns.

Now they just need a monkey on her back playing the harp as she walks down the runway. Honestly, how is she going to walk with those? She looks like she's barely standing up as is, throw in walking, dodging other models and a bunch of shiny glittery lights, not to mention a glitter strewn runway and you have a recipe for disaster.

Go to www.trashy.com the outfits look just as cheap but not quite as tacky. The only acceptable outfit between the three girls was Chanel's outfit. It was to be expected with the MLB teamup. Clear view of lingerie, classic depiction of a baseball uniform, very predictable. The others are just a tacky mess that could have been better designed by a 4th grader. These outfits are horrendous and we just so blindly take it and feel it's acceptable. Back in 2005 if they had thrown this shit at us we'd have been up in arms, but now we just shrug and sit waiting avidly for another sneak peak.. of what more garbage? 2005 was classy, costumy and stunning all at the same time. It's just been a steady downward spiral ever since. The fantasy bra is even looking more and more like shit. It used to made out of diamonds, now they take a bejeweller and paste some pretty stones onto their latest marketing device. Seriously, if they can't get their shit together maybe it's time to replace the marketing and production team, get a new set of designers and go out and take a look at the real world. Healthy bodies, HAH, who's monica fooling? That's the biggest load of bull I've heard in a long time. If Anja is considered a healthy body... then I better go out and starve myself too.

I can stomach that quote to some extent as it can be taken in a way that doesn't necessarily mean starve yourself. After all, watching what you eat and not gorging on sweets and high carb foods and instead eating healthy can make you 'skinny'. However to say that a day is a starve day just isn't ok.

My major issue with Anja is her weight, but beyond that the fact that she felt it was ok last year to make a statement along the lines of 'today being a starve day' or something around that is reprehensible. This is probably the most talked about fashion show in the world. It's more main stream then most runway and the fact that young impressionable girls are watching something like this and that comment is being linked in is almost as bad as when Kate Moss made the statement 'Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels'. Last year, when the girls who were going to walk the runway were asked what they ate that morning for breakfast: Original quote from Anja Rubik: “I’ve decided this will be my starving day today.” – hmm, that doesn’t sound too good. So while I have nothing against Anja in the normal fashion community I just don't feel she belongs in a more commercial, publicized venue. As for some of the other girls, I'm a bit leery, but again it all comes down to execution and outfits. Let's see if VS can put together a great show, or butcher a possibility. :|
