I tried to write less and it came out the same . Ironically in trying to clarify I put a couple more sentences in there . But as to the voting, long story short... There will be one long round instead of several rounds, giving the voters the chance to weigh all at the same time, as well as a certain window of time to change their minds ect. If there's hypothetically 60 nominations, they will be in 2 columns of models with 15 rows of 2 models side by side in each row. To make it slightly easier on the eyes, they would be in two posts one on top of the other. Altogether it would be 2 columns, 15 rows in 2 posts. I'll likely assign them with symbols such as A1, A2, A3 ect. just to at least encourage people to not just write their top favorites without even looking at the pics.

At least a couple more would be good . As a side note though, one interresting irony of the polls is that the commercials with male models have the most 5s whereas if I were to do a male commercial comp probably half the people would vote . Or at least the average male model would probably get higher scores whereas the females are still more popular.

I used to think anyone I liked that had just a few pages was underrated, now I'm not so sure...Like Masha Tyelna (more than 10 pages, but only 3 fans) to me is a great model, but she's just too extreme for most people here whereas she's one of the most popular models on tfs and some of the most popular here only have like 30 pages there. On the other hand, even someone like Oluchi or Veronika Varikova (excuse spelling) even though they have more than 10 pages arent' that popular here, but seems to be really well known in general. Then another thing is most fashion fans seem to have short attention spans. The very nature of 'fashion' is out with the old and in with the new, so having regular work goes a long way. For BZ, American SI and VSFS are usually the best ways to become super popular. With up and coming models, there are some that on their first page have a bunch of people saying 'oh she's so pretty' but if she doesn't have any more work they'll just forget about her, so I'm not sure whether that's underrated or not. Even if Adriana Lima only had 2 editorials and a couple polaroids, she wouldn't have that many pages either. There's also others that I'm surprised aren't more popular because they seem to me to be just as good as some that are really popular, but if there were two of them then I'd probably just be tired of them too. Some others that have over 20 pages could be said by some to be underrated here based on the quality of work they've done (Liya Kebede, Alana Zimmer...ect.) and how respected they are by their peers, but being unappreciated here may not make them underrated in general. On the other hand, being underrated by the actual people in the industry in that they underrate them by not giving them said work I guess is easier to say I guess. Also, the size of a thread can sometimes be deceptive. Some large threads are actually mainly spearheaded by just a few dedicated fans, but the many pages just creates the image that they have a ton of fans. Of course, having somewhat regular work goes a long way in keeping even those few dedicated fans. Some models are just in smaller markets too and someone just like them in a bigger market or a better agency in a big market may do much better. For example, its better to be an American blonde model than a Swedish or Finnish blonde model per average because the American industry is so much more vast. I guess since its such a subjective field (even moreso than music, acting, sports ect.) that its hard to quantify what underrated is outside of my own tastes. For example, a lot of people didn't like watching Tim Duncan play basketball. They thought he was boring, but because of his tangible, objective production, he couldn't be denied a chance to perform in the NBA. By the laws of fashion Michael Jordan could have been denied a chane to play in the NBA because someone at the top decided on a whim that they didn't like him. In modeling, its so much subject to what the big heads at the top think and they don't even really care what the public wants and concensus is even, so no matter how great of a model you are or how much the public would like you, there are no real foolprood laurels to guarantee anything. I said all that to say, great idea for a thread. I didn't come to write that and started thinking about a list when I first saw the topic, but I'll just have to think harder I guess .

Thanks guys . I doubt that I'll have all the pics before my current comp is over so I might as well open it up for nominations. One problem though, you may be disappointed that the rules are simple this time . I got a little overly ambitious the last time out and got confused being asked explaining it different ways . Anyway... Premise 1. This version will be stripped down to focus on fashion models in polaroids and casting videos specifically to try to avoid the debates about whether she has makeup or the 'mine has a casting video and hers has her walking down the street with some makeup' ect. Also, the 'preferrably no backstage pics' was a bit hard to enforce, so this weeds that out. For those that may say, 'but so and so's the best thing ever and she has no polaroids' she can make the next edition. 2. I am aware that some makeup is used in casting videos and polaroids at times, as sometimes its not just about a model's natural look, but getting a feel for the model's camera presence as well, but we'll just take it case by case. 3. The idea is of course 'little to no makeup' as I'm aware that sometimes absolutely no makeup is hard to find, so again its a case by case basis. 4. Instead of rounds, the nominations will be put up at the same time for a long, open round for the voters to choose their top 15-20 favorites from the nominations. The nominees however will be assigned a code number of my choosing until the end rankings to ensure everyone looks at them all. 5. You will have the option to vote against rather than for, which I will explain below. 6. The primary title will be the person with the best score and there will be other titles based on number of pages of the thread (best with 20 or less pages, best with 10 or less pages ect.). What is Needed to Nominate 1. Nominate a model or models of your choice with a polaroid or casting video shoot. Provide 4 pics for this model. If 4 pics cannot be found, ask myself, the fans in her thread or others for help. Actresses ect. who are signed to modeling agencies and happen to have casting polaroids will be accepted. 2. These pictures must be at least medium quality or better and 300 pixtels in width each. 3. You need 4 pictures per model. Rules 1. The pics will be two models across and you will scroll down to view them all. Once you've done this, list your top 15-20 (will be decided based on how many nominations there are) of the nominees based on the pics. 2. If you determine that you hate is more significant than your love, you can exchange your top 15-20 for your bottom 15-20 instead (to vote against rather than for). The only catch is that you would give up your top 15-20 as a result of course. 3. 50 or more votes will be needed overall to determine the winner and the rankings. 4. Please avoid 'hers has more makeup' type disputes in the thread and pm me instead and we will try to work it out. Maybelline - 4 pleasant and vibrant . She looks like a little fairy and that's one of the prettiest dresses I've seen . Fuel for Life - 3 They worked well together and the setting was well shot even though simple and they emphasized the bottle in creative ways, though I don't find being drenched in perfume sexy regardless of how its done just by virtue of it not being an edible . But though there are some things I'd change, but I still hope it does well just to get some more diversity (non-Emily) videos in the top 10 .
