^ And if all that doesn't kill us - we finish our meals by guzzling down dulce de leche; a thick, sweet caramel which is present in just about everything that doesn't contain meat (and a source of immense national pride)...

MEAT! We have the 8th largest country in the world, with only 40 million people living in it, half of them living in Buenos Aires. So, what do we fill the place with... Which we proceed to eat the whole damn lot of... ^ This is an asado, a collection of different cuts of beef (and pork) - and all the bits and pieces inside - cooked on a parrilla. This is a typical Sunday meal type of family thing, or a Saturday night. Friday nights too... Whilst during the week you simply go and have one from a restaurant instead: We have the highest consumption of red meat in the world... Woo-Hoo!

  11. Bless you, cariño! I don't really know what $100,000 should get you in 1957. I do know he bought it primarily for it's privacy (it was off the beaten track), and that the studios, swimming pool, squash court, and 'mediation gardens' were all added by Elvis whilst he lived there. I should find some photos of the inside. It's pretty cool if you haven't seen it! I think there's a Tori Praver photo-shoot in Graceland knocking about somewhere...
