iceeagel, your little chicas con gafas 'gift' on my own thread sent me on an odyssey for that picture's genesis... Finally found it, and some extra shots - 'biggerer' too! By Joshua Jordan for JCrew (a couple might be reposts, but they're all higher quality regardless):

^And, bizarrely, a sock-sucker - which doesn't even mean anything in Argentina! We all love Carlito at home - but a doctor friend of mine told me that when he was at Boca his medical revealed that his IQ was actually at the retarded level... Football brains. In his feet, Jimmy.

^I think you need to be bloody Clark Kent to pick up all these supposed 'improvements' in CDs these days... <_< That or possess some real swanky Bang & Olufsen unit, which is sadly out of my price range! Yes, Alanis still sells (in Buenos Aires at least). She was in town about a year ago playing an arena-size venue. You tell 'em sister! Needless to say I didn't go.

^You do seem to bring it up a lot! My colour preferences run to orange - but it's rare, clothing wise...Needless to say, this set utilises neither ( ):

The Official Victoria's Secret Thread
^No, it wasn't about you per se - it was more about the hysteria caused by a woman returning to work from maternity leave...And you're quite right - I have nothing better to do! As mbinebri will no doubt testify, Marisa Miller gets a large amount of flak on this forum. Lots of members dislike Behati's presence in VS. We do disagree - and we argue, true. But that's that. Really, why does any negative Lima comment have to become part of some massive vendetta/conspiracy theory?

^I guess you won't be that keen on this second part then?!! Though, I'll admit, it's not my primary concern ( ) - I don't mind her hair, personally...

^Thanks for the link, thothmosis. You're quite right, the translation is, um, interesting! All I could really make out was that her name means 'butterfly', she was an air-hostess (lawdy, can you imagine! ), and - most importantly - that she's single! (Y) My favourite answer though: ^

Frederick's Roundtable: Volume 1
Shine A Light was OK - but it's just NOT the Stones. There's something about Mick prancing around in a embroidered purple frock-coat in front of synchronised backing singers doing that whole 'Ooooh aaaah click fingers and spin' routine, and Daryl Jones's 'slap' bass, that hardly smacks of Altamont... It's saving grace was all the extensive interspersed footage from the previous 40 years that showed exactly what this band was capable of. WELLALRIGHTYEAHCOMEON was pretty much the sum of Goddess. As far as I'm aware, Lenny Kravitz ceased to be culturally relevant (or credible) in about 1992. That said, I'm not surprised by Mick's choice of collaborator: Goddess sold loads in Argentina where Kravitz is still a big star... Indeed, outside of the twin behemoths of the Stones, and AC/DC (the biggest draws) - Kravitz is held in the same lofty esteem at home as other second tier "rock gods" like Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, and Metallica. I think South America is where many dinosaurs go to graze. ^I'm with you Baby - I just don't think girls these days use their imagination. I mean outside of shady 'two girls, one cup' enterprises anyway... :yuckky:

^Come back Riquelme... I'm also continually amazed by our "beloved" coach's refusal to play Cambiasso. I know he's more a defensive midfielder - but he's 10 times the player than all those Boca fools Maradona keeps playing (in blatant 'nepotism')... <_<

THE ODDITORIUM
^Always room in my heart for dog (in a hat, naturally) being forced into any kind of skit! Schoolgirl outfit man 'broke Asbo' A man banned from wearing skirts at certain times breached his Asbo by deliberately bending over in front of his neighbours, a court has heard. Peter Trigger is banned from wearing a skirt or showing bare legs on a school day between 8.30am and 10am and 2.45pm and 4pm. The 60-year-old, from Farndon Close, Northampton, was given an anti-social behaviour order in December 2008 which also forbids him from behaving in a manner which causes or is likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress to others. Northampton Magistrates' Court heard that he breached the terms of his Asbo by allegedly upsetting his neighbours - deliberately bending over in front of them early in the morning on December 16 last year. Trigger previously faced three charges of breaching the order but two have since been discontinued. Jerena Tomaszewska, prosecuting, said Trigger was seen outside his house at 7.25am that day by neighbours Philip and Mary Copping. "It is the Crown's case that, very early in the morning, the defendant left his home wearing a skirt. He went towards the witnesses' van which was parked outside his address. "He stood by the van with his back to it. He bent down and was appearing to be doing something with his laces. On this occasion he repeatedly bent down. This repeated action continued until Mr and Mrs Copping drove off." Miss Tomaszewska said that, although Trigger was permitted to wear a skirt at that time of day, he had breached the second part of his Asbo by causing both Mr and Mrs Copping harassment, alarm and distress. Mrs Copping told the court she thought Trigger had bare legs that day, and was wearing a pleated skirt to his mid-thigh, with socks and shoes. (Source: Press Association) Eeeew! :yuckky:

^I believe he has his own branded detector, right? Being a bassist myself, I've always had a soft spot for old Bill - I don't believe he gets anywhere near enough credit for the Stones sound... Although I'm with you on the Rhythm Kings stuff (just hoary blues noodling), I think he's actually not a bad song-writer himself. I own his first two solo albums, and they're both solid affairs. Check this out for some 70's "skirt":

^Tell that to the 2002 team! Honestly, after that last game with Nigeria, the city was awash with people smashing windows and throwing burning mattresses around. Not good! That said, after out thrilling 6-0 destruction of Slovenia last time around exactly the same thing happened! We Porteños have a fairly limited emotional range...

Jade**, I have to admire your chutzpah here - it's the thread we've all been waiting for!!! But Lost_Soul is right (Edit: and Nightlife) - have the courage of your convictions here: Offend away! Name and shame! and let's see how long it all lasts... As for me, I really hate 'extractor fans'. They take all the moisture away, and leave my skin feeling all dehydrated. DON'T TAKE AWAY MY MOISTURE! Most annoying. <
