Ahh, legitimate news! ...even if it does worry me a bit. Another model-turned actress? And she's playing Jeff Bridge's earthly avatar? Hopefully it'll be good and she's more than pure eye candy, but if the movie sucks I can already see the lazy puns on the title in reviews.
Just heard the Eagles got Ronnie Brown. Did the league give them a $200 million cap while everyone else got $120? I can't possibly imagine how the Eagles have so much cap room to work with. Just to get under the cap and sign a guard and a FB, the Ravens had to cut a quarter of the teams starters along with several key backups.
^ If you stopped watching football simply because the season went from 16 games to 18 games, you were never really a fan to begin with. I'm on the owners' side in this. The previous CBA was more lucrative for the players, and with skyrocketing players' salaries and the rising costs of operating a team, it's only getting worse for the owners. For example, as an organization, the Green Bay Packers' net income was $4 million, according to Forbes. That's it. If I started a business and its net income was lower than what I was paying many of the individual employees, I would clearly need to rework the financial side of things.
