I think the SI covermodel/VS Angel combo models should just automatically be declared co-winners. :morning:

The latest Bar boycott attempt isn't about her not serving in the army. This time it's because she's trying to apply for status as a non-Israeli/foreign-resident to avoid paying taxes.

Oh wow, I just saw Ordon's Playboy editorial from a few years back and judging from that, pregnancy did her chest a whole world of good.

Judging from the previews, it looks like SI has gotten a little more creative with the shoots, like with the airplane hanger(?). Also, Genevieve Morton has some old-school SI model appeal.

I think I'll turn my computer off now and go back to my book. Fiction that comes in novel form is so much more entertaining.

No model and a B-list celebrity for a launch? Sounds like the kind of screw-up that would happen if VS never wanted/expected to lose the model originally meant for the launch. @dizzy: she's an actress on Gossip Girl, and I'm thoroughly disgusted with myself for knowing that w/o having to look it up. :x

As Tori earlier pointed out, it's not just recently. Ale has been dominating the catalog covers statistic for several years.

Hilary looks great! With Julie Ordon and Dominique Piek, it's looking like one of the older crops of rookies in... ever. Wait, wasn't Piek in the South African SISE? Can she technically be considered a rookie?

I had this long reply written out, but I'm just going scrap it and say if people want to see more variety for the covers, I don't disagree with that, and that's one thing, but if members seek to degrade (for whatever reason, and I have my guesses) Ale for the favor VS seems to show her, that's quite another thing - and a sad one. But in the end, it's all pointless. We can talk about who sells more than who or why VS makes the decisions that it does; none of us really know. If this were a court case, the judge would throw it all out before it even went to trial.

Well, not that I've kept track of it, but it seems to me Ale isn't seen shooting for VS more than any other Angel. Dare I say it? Same amount of shoots + significantly more covers = the far better catalog model. It's rather petty and completely illogical to try to explain a positive (in getting so many covers) as a negative. Geez, I haven't sounded like such an Ale fan since I left the AAOF!

^ Nice. Explain it with negative speculation. If Ale gets tons of covers, putting her on the covers must boost sales, and if that's the case, good for her.

^ A good draft or two should solve much of that problem. I don't think the team has a lot of pressing needs at the moment, so maybe they can afford to trade a pick or two to move up in the first round and get the most surefire CB they can to groom. That said, Woodson just won the defensive MVP, so he must have a lot left in the tank. In other news... I love how the Ravens beat the Pats and it's like every member of the sports media is now saying their dynasty is over. I think it's an overreaction, but I certainly do like hearing it though!

Based on that video, the issue looks like it will be good. I wish they wouldn't have blitzed through it so much though. I couldn't tell if some of the girls were the rookies or vets that I just didn't get a good enough look at. I also thought I spied Tori Praver, whose fans were all saying she wouldn't be in the issue, if I'm remembering that correctly. Oops, it was Esti.

Then they would probably have given her a literal editorial. Per the Huffington Post article, she's only going to be in the issue because SoBe has paid for the ad space. It doesn't seem to have anything to do with SI casting her as a model.

^ I can imagine some Packers fans are complaining. But they shouldn't because w/ Rogers, all his weapons, and a great defense that's only going to get better, they're looking like the football dynasty of the next decade.

^ Yeah, in terms of seniority she definitely has earned a cover (and a brunette would be a nice change), but obviously SI doesn't work like that if ABB never got a cover.

Oh opinions, opinions. I was an Ale fan way back in the day, but even then I probably would have preferred Izabel in interviews.
