Meet the 14-Year-Old Who’s Been Modeling for a Decade Watch out, Kate Moss. While most 14-year-olds are just trying to snap the perfect selfies, French model, Thylane Blondeau, has already been a high fashion model for over 10 years. Although it hasn’t always come without controversy (many people believed that her appearances in French Vogueand Jalouse were inappropriate given her age), Thylane is here to say that she’s ready to take on the world. And we think she’s going to be huge. The striking blue-eyed beauty is amassing quite the Instagram following, and she recently signed to IMG Worldwide (home to our fave supermodel stars such as Karlie, Gigiand Georgia May), so she’s clearly on her way to the top. “I’ve been modeling since I was 4,” says Thylane. For real. She walked the Jean Paul Gaultier runway at the tender age of 4 #TBT. “My favorite part of the job is meeting new photographers and makeup artists. I love to try on the clothes, too!” she adds. What teenager wouldn’t want to play dress up nonstop? And the model is quickly making moves into the acting world. She’s currently reading scripts and planning some on-screen projects. Her dream acting costars? “Angelina Jolie is my ultimate goal as an actress. If I could costar with anyone, it would of course be her. And Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Johnny Depp,” she says. Us too #goals. For Thylane, her modeling has mostly stayed within the family. “My friends and I don’t talk about it a lot. It’s kind of my secret garden. But my family is very happy for me,” she explains. And when she isn’t working, you can find her dancing, skateboarding, swimming, drumming, and playing piano — you know, teen stuff. Plus, her favorite people to follow on Instagram are also our favorite people to follow on Instagram: Cara Delevingne, Kendall Jenner, Hailey Baldwin, and Lucky Blue, the model cool-kids. She’s a self-described tomboy, who also happens to have a thing for Chanel, MAC, Dior, Benefit, Sephora, L’Oréal products — we feel you, girl. She even has her very own YouTube channel with videos dedicated to her day-to-day beauty routine (even born-to-be models are obsessed with the Urban Decay Naked palettes). Even so, her daily beauty ritual is pretty limited. “I only really use mascara and brush up my eyebrows,” she says. And when asked what she thinks about all the people giving her a tough time because of her age? “Well, Kate Moss started modeling at the age of 15, and that was a little while ago. So no. I’m not too young. If you have a good agency and people who take care of you…it’s perfect.” We have a feeling that with a face like hers and that certain French je ne sais quoi, she’ll be making moves like Moss very soon. +1
