I have not kept up with the spinoff/prequel news for GoT but I did happen to see something yesterday. This is all I learned from that: 1) The GoT creators/writers are not involved at all. 2) Different writers were working on ideas for many different possible shows. 3) All of those have been abandoned except for the one with Naomi Watts (and maybe another). 4) New ideas could be started in the future, but nothing is in the works now. Personally, I have no idea if I will be interested in any new shows. (Naomi Watts is good, though)

Writing a show's finale seems to be a thankless task. It's rare for there to be an overly positive reaction. Frequently, a response of "It was okay" is the best a writer/creator can hope for.

Few random thoughts:

^^ I guess we are seeing different things. To me the body language and words they chose seemed similar to what I saw from the Marvel cast leading up to the last movie. Basically, nervousness about saying something they shouldn't and generally being uncomfortable with that possibility. It's, of course, possible that they didn't like it and that's explains those interviews, but I didn't see it. (I always allow for the possibility that I'm wrong, because I am so much )

"Game of Thrones Stars Share Their Honest..." The title of that is misleading. All the reactions were from people scared they would ruin something and get in trouble. There was no way to get an honest reaction from them before it had aired.

Same. I was thinking recently that some shows I'm glad to see end and others I wish would keep going. I am definitely ready for GoT to be done. I have been lucky to miss most of this which has helped.
