Would seem to be the case. The whole vibe the film gives off also feels like it's of that time as well. Just watched the trailer that was posted on this thread. I hadn't realized that John Goodman was in this. Even more pumped for it now. I was already on board because of Brie Larson, but if John Goodman felt that this was worth his time, then there's a decent chance it could turn out to be something worthwhile.

She is quite stunning. I'm still not all that familiar with her work, but I look forward to going through this thread and correcting that.

What a great movie that was. Denzel, as always, was great but John Goodman really stole the show in that one. I wish I could go back and watch that one again for the first time. What a tremendous film. One of the best that have ever been made, certainly one of the best horror films ever made at the very least.

Absolutely. Hers is always one of the two or three names I'm looking for first when I log on. Such a stunning woman. The sky is the limit for her career.
