David Bruckner Directing TV Series Adaptation of Rami Malek’s Apocalypse Podcast “Blackout” The end of civilization as you know it. Starring and executive produced by Academy Award Winner Rami Malek, the popular podcast series “Blackout“ is getting a small screen adaptation, Deadline reports this week. David Bruckner (The Night House) is on board to direct the TV series adaptation, Deadline has announced today. Bruckner has previously directed The Signal, the “Amateur Night” segment in our V/H/S, the segment “The Accident” in our Southbound, and monster movie The Ritual. Bruckner is also working on our upcoming V/H/S/94, which is coming soon. Deadline notes, “Season two of the apocalyptic thriller will be released early this summer with Malek reprising his role of Simon Itani, a small-town radio DJ fighting to protect his family and community after the power grid goes down nationwide, upending modern civilization.” The “Blackout” adaptation will come from Chernin Entertainment, Endeavor Content and QCode. Rami Malek will executive produce the series, which doesn’t yet have a home.

“Mindhunter”: David Fincher and Netflix Reportedly Talking About a Potential Third Season Last year, David Fincher opened up in a chat with Vulture and revealed that Netflix’s “Mindhunter” is at least temporarily on hold at the moment, with Fincher admitting that there just weren’t enough people watching to justify the cost and the work involved in bringing another season to life. At the same time, however, he’s been keeping that hope alive. Fincher had noted in a chat with Variety back in November of last year, “At some point I’d love to revisit it. The hope was to get all the way up to the late 90’s, early 2000’s, hopefully get all the way up to people knocking on the door at Dennis Rader’s house.” It sounds like the future of “Mindhunter” is still very much up in the air, to be clear, but it’s worth noting that Small Screen is reporting this week on talks between Fincher and Netflix. The site reports, “It’s been revealed to us by sources close to Netflix that discussions between the streamer and David Fincher for a Mindhunter Season 3 are back on.” Small Screen’s source reportedly told them, “All I can really tell you about Mindhunter is that conversations between Netflix and Fincher are ongoing. They are discussing the possibility of bringing the show back for a third season. It’s still very early days, but Fincher sounds more upbeat about the project.” For now, it’s probably best to take this one with a grain of salt. But ya never know… Fincher executive produces “Mindhunter” for Netflix, and also directed several episodes.

Lionsgate Developing an ‘American Psycho’ TV Series Adaptation; Possibly a ‘Saw’ Series as Well? Directed by Mary Harron, the 2000 film American Psycho brought Bret Easton Ellis’s novel to the big screen, and it looks like Patrick Bateman is next headed to the small screen. Speaking with Deadline this week, Lionsgate Television chairman Kevin Beggs previewed all things Lionsgate TV that are currently in the works, including an American Psycho series. And, potentially down the road, a television series set in the Saw universe?! “American Psycho is in development,” Beggs reveals. “We’re always exploring what we can do in television with something like the Saw franchise, so that’s a conversation.” Deadline’s Nellie Andreeva adds into the report/interview, “Beggs would not elaborate further, but I hear that Lionsgate TV is in early talks on a TV series adaptation of the book of Saw, from Mark Burg and Oren Koules’ Twisted Television. The Saw film franchise, one of the longest-running horror franchises in history and which has grossed over $1 billion at the box office, has long been rumored as ripe for a TV expansion.” Spiral: From the Book of Saw will be released in theaters on May 14, and it’s clear Lionsgate has plans for the franchise beyond that movie. As we recently reported, early development has reportedly already begun on another feature film, and it looks like Lionsgate is also keeping the door open to expand upon that “Book of Saw” with a small screen project.

Dexter”: Michael C. Hall is Back in New Teaser Trailer for Showtime’s Revival! America’s favorite serial killer is back. Michael C. Hall stars in Showtime‘s upcoming revival of “Dexter,” a continuation of the original series that will essentially allow Showtime to make up for the show’s original finale. Check out the official teaser trailer below, giving us our first look at Hall as Dexter in nearly 10 years! Jamie Chung (“Lovecraft Country”) joins Hall in the revival, with the cast also including Clancy Brown, Julia Jones, Alano Miller, Johnny Sequoyah and Jack Alcott. “Set 10 years after Dexter Morgan went missing in the eye of Hurricane Laura, the revival sees the character now living under an assumed name in a world away from Miami.” Clyde Phillips is back as showrunner for the 10-episode revival, arriving in Fall 2021. “Dexter” ran for eight seasons between 2006 and 2013.

What We Do in the Shadows’ Spinoff Series “Wellington Paranormal” Getting US Premiere in July! In addition to FX’s series, the world of “What We Do in the Shadows” was also expanded upon with the spinoff “Wellington Paranormal,” focused on the film’s easily-manipulated police officers, Mike Minogue and Karen O’Leary. From creators Taika Waititi and Jemaine Clement, the series premiered in New Zealand back in 2018, and it’s now getting a US release. “Wellington Paranormal” has been acquired by HBO Max and The CW, and the series will premiere on The CW on July 11, 2021. It’ll then be available on HBO Max the next day. The half-hour series follows the aforementioned duo, as well as Cori Gonzalez-Macuer’s Nick, as they try to keep Wellington safe from various spooky beasties. The third season of “Wellington Paranormal” just recently launched over in New Zealand, and we’ve been told that filming on a fourth season is already underway.

Amazon Heads to the “Unknown” Parts of America with Anthology Series Everyone’s trying to find a new angle into the anthology and this new one mixes urban legends with true crime. Craig MacNeill (“The Twilight Zone”, “Castle Rock”) & Clay Chapman, the duo behind SpectreVision’s SXSW horror film The Boy, have teamed up with Jonathan Nolan & Lisa Joy’s Kilter Films to develop the horror series “Unknown” at Amazon, reports Deadline. It sounds as if this anthology series tackles a new story every season, as opposed to each episode. “The first season is centered around an estranged brother and sister, who return to the Texas Killing Fields, only to encounter a dark spirit that inhabits the region from their childhood.” The series will be produced by Amazon Studios and Kilter Films.

Meanwhile in Iceland.... What in the actual fuck! Iceland has embraced eugenics to develop an icy “cure” for Down syndrome: abortion. Armed with state funded prenatal screening and the goal “to educate,” for nearly a decade, Iceland has facilitated the death of “every single…fetus with Down syndrome…” According to a recent series of reports from CBS News, Iceland is leading the way to “eradicate” Down syndrome through a lethal combination of pervasive prenatal screening and abortion on demand. The state mandates that all expectant mothers be informed of the option for state funded prenatal screening. They claim to present this option “as neutral counseling,” but “more than 4 out of 5 pregnant women” counseled opt for the test, and, upon a positive diagnosis, all of them choose to abort. These practices go well beyond the desire for a healthy and prosperous child. While abortion is never justified, with modern medical technology, there is simply no reason to abort a child with Down syndrome. Children born with this challenge can live long, healthy, and fulfilling lives in the care of loving families. Instead, this desire to curate humanity dates back to the horrific pseudo-science of eugenics popular at the turn of century. In line with Iceland’s apparently innocuous goal of educating expectant mothers, Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood, believed “information” about contraception and abortion was the “greatest step toward racial betterment.” Proponents of these measures in Iceland treat those children found to have Down syndrome like damaged produce. One “counselor” declared, “We don’t look at abortion as murder. We look at it as a thing that we ended.” Those children who escape detection and are born in Iceland with Down syndrome are treated as a failure by the national health system: “we didn’t find them in our screening.” Tragically, Iceland’s program is not unique. In Denmark, 98 percent of all children suspected of Down syndrome are terminated. In France, the number reaches 77 percent, and even in the United States, 67 percent are killed before they even have a chance. More horrifying still, these tests are not even completely accurate. Medical professionals tell expectant mothers that their child is at risk of being born with a life changing illness based on a test that is only 85 percent accurate. How many mothers under the terrible weight of this decision, backed by a false confidence in medical science, choose to terminate the life of their completely healthy unborn child? How many more will be placed in this horrific position? At the ACLJ, we say enough is enough. No mother should have to contemplate the mortality of their unborn child or be complicit in its death. Iceland and the rest of the developed world must recognize the inherent dignity of the human person, from conception to death, before the medical profession “eradicates” another innocent group of children. At the ACLJ, and through our European affiliate, the European Center for Law and Justice (ECLJ), we have not let this violation of human rights go unnoticed. We have defended the rights of physicians to not screen the unborn for challenges which might encourage their termination. We have chastised the United Nations for failing to condemn eugenics practiced through screening and the abortion of children with Down syndrome. We denounced the Council of Europe for dehumanizing the unborn. Still today, we continue to fight in the European Court of Human Rights against France’s unlawful censure of a pro-life message of love and hope for people with Down syndrome. Someone getting real nervous This afternoon, it was discovered that “the entire database” for the 2020 General election, showing the “Results Tally and Reporting,” has been deleted! 100 Percent Fed Up reports– President of the Arizona Senate Karen Fann has written a letter to Chairman Sellers, demanding answers. When inspectors received the boxes of ballots where the audit was being performed, the tamper-proof tape was cut on the boxes and the number of ballots inside the boxes was not the same as what was reported by the County reporter, and what was turned over to the Senate don’t line up. A week before the machines were turned over, records were deleted by an administrator—this has to be treated as an act of intentional cover-up! The Maricopa Arizona Audit team has also tweeted about the breaking bombshell: Breaking Update: Maricopa County deleted a directory full of election databases from the 2020 election cycle days before the election equipment was delivered to the audit. This is spoliation of evidence! Why would the database be deleted unless there was something massive they were trying to hide? This article is for everyone who’s been trying to convince Americans that no voter fraud took place in the November election and that it was the safest and most secure election in modern history. The ongoing audit of ballots cast in Maricopa County, Arizona has uncovered “significant discrepancies” in the number of ballots versus the supposed number of ballots that were supposed to exist. Political strategist Boris Epshteyn adds that the discrepancies may be as high as 17.5%, and it is “likely Joe Biden did not win Arizona”. Arizona Senate President recently sent a letter to the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors, outlining the major issues discovered already in the audit, and offering to settle them without additional subpoenas or compulsory action. In the letter, says Epshteyn on Steve Bannon’s podcast, it reveals, “Pallet five, batch 2976, 200 pink slip total, actual total 165. They are missing 35 ballots out of that batch.” He added, “35 out of 100 is 17.5%. 10 out of 200 is 5%.” “Do you know how shocking that is? 17.5% discrepancy in a batch is beyond belief.” He added, “In one they’ve got 18 more than there’s supposed to be, which is a 9% discrepancy. Again, if we are to have any confidence in elections in this country, how can we possibly be okay with discrepancies of double digit percentages? It’s absolutely mind boggling, anything above a tiny fraction of a percentage is unacceptable, by the way, unacceptable according to the Federal Elections Commission.” Ephsteyn explained that several databases subpoenaed for the purpose of the audit have been removed, including files that contain the election results and how they were tallied. “There’s evidence these databases were removed as recently as March, right before handed over, and while being subject to a subpoena. That’s criminal activity.” “We now know why the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors have been fighting this subpoena so hard, why Perkins Coie has come in, why the Democrats are pushing back, why you’ve got mainstream media melting down,” he explained, “Because they’re hiding this. They’re hiding the disaster in which they handled this election, and likely, the fact that Joe Biden did not win in Arizona.” The official Maricopa Arizona Audit Twitter account, controlled by Arizona Former Secretary of State Ken Bennett, confirmed the discrepancy and its significance. “Breaking Update: As we open boxes of ballots delivered by Maricopa County, we are discovering significant discrepancies between the number of ballots therein and the batch reports included in the boxes.” Democrats have repeatedly attempted to interfere with the audit process using the media, the courts, and public statements from Arizona Secretary of State Katie Hobbes, a Democrat. As National File reported, “Secretary of State Katie Hobbs, whose team is now monitoring the audit, has shown blatant bias, tweeting out the hashtag #fraudit.
