Since 2021 she is playing for Romanian club CSM Bucharest. with the Dutch national team she won a silver medal on the world championships in 2015, and bronze in 2017. In 2016 she won a bronze medal at the European championships. In 2006 she was chosen best player under 18. In 2018 she quit her career due to exhaustion, but made her return in 2020. besides handball, Yvette is also a fashion model.
