Let's kick off 2023 with a new game This will follow the same principle of "The Cover Or The Original?" but it will be much more general. For each round we will face two different versions of the same song. But it doesn't have to be the original vs a cover version. It can be 2 different covers, none being the original; or it can be an early career version vs a late career version by the same artist... or the studio recording vs a live performance... or two different live performances... you name it! We have a thread for guitarists, bassists and singers... But we were lacking one for the rhythmic base! Those who keep the rhythm and the tempo, the backbone of any Rock, Pop, Funk, Soul, Blues, Jazz, etc band you can think of. We were missing on the drummers! Not anymore! Any other Beatles' fans here? The band was founded by John Lennon around 1956, under the name "The Quarrymen" in Liverpool. They started playing skiflle: covers and some original songs. In October 1957 Paul McCartney joined the band, and under his recommendation, George Harrison was included in 1958.
