The film is still in pre-production and they’re planning it for a 2008 release date. Tom Hanks is supposed to be back, and now we have an exclusive on who may be the film’s next cast addition. According to an anonymous source of ours over at Sony, model turned actress Gisele Bundchen is joining the cast to star opposite Hanks. She’ll play the part of an Italian woman named Vittoria, a role many fans had been pulling for Monica Bellucci to land. But word is that director Ron Howard and writer Akiva Goldsman wanted someone younger for Vittoria and so ended up going with Bundchen. Gisele already has the script in her hands and they’re planning to start shooting Angels & Demons as soon as this June. Now our standard disclaimer that comes with any sort of scoop like this.
