First off, I want to make it clear that I wasn’t predisposed to think badly of Candice, quite the opposite. I’ve always liked her and found her quite likable based on what we knew about her, which, in the end, isn’t much, just like with any celebrity we don’t know personally. In fact, this whole mess has really caught me by surprise because I didn’t expect this from her.

But as for your theory, I don’t see how that would put Candice in a better position, tbh. It doesn’t matter if you hear nice things about your friend’s boyfriend, you shouldn’t get involved. I’m sure Candice has heard good things from Alessandra about her current boyfriend, for example, but she shouldn’t get involved, no matter how much Alessandra tells her he’s a really fun and interesting guy, even if they both break up by mutual agreement, without her getting involved. She needs to respect that, at least for a reasonable amount of time.

Besides, I’m not so sure Candice has heard exactly the best things about Brady, either. He’s a womanizer incapable of commitment, not even to Gisele, who, when he was already 45, asked him to stop putting football before his own family. And now he's jumping from woman to woman (which can be fine as long as there’s no cheating, but I don’t think that’s exactly the greenest of green flags for wanting to be in a relationship with him), and there are even rumors that Brady and Candice’s relationship may have already hit a rough patch because Brady was also seeing Alix Earle.

Also saw screenshots of our fallen friend DCandiceCom, wish she had kept up her Instagram and Twitter for archival purposes, that girl was a treasure for the fandom, hate that she nuked all of her hard work 😭

Going to have to just agree to disagree on this. Some great relationships and marriages come from when a friend and their significant other break up and then the ex and a friend of the friend realize they kinda had feelings for one another and should give it a shot.

Add in these are adult women and not teenagers, and it's something that can be handled. It's easy to play "armchair relationship expert" when hindsight is 20/20 and in an ideal/perfect world sure Candice could lay off and find another man. But, again, at 38 and as one of the most gorgeous women in the world why should she not go for a single man she wants just because a friend had him? It didn't work out for the friend, not Candice's fault. Hell, I'd argue Joan could be the bigger woman and be happy for her friend if she's happy.

Now, again, I get what Joan is implying happened by referencing the show but I'm not willing to take her at her word without some proof/evidence like text messages or something. Not cause I want to believe Candice isn't a bad person/friend but more that Joan seems a bit unhinged to me.

Candice taking Tom back, despite his brief hookup with Alix, really makes it look like she's desperate for him. She's committing so hard to this fuckboy that she's willing to throw away her friendships. It just totally contradicts who she is, especially since she has a history of dumping her fiancé of several years over infidelity

I agree with this so much, Candice is such a queen, if a man is not gonna be devoted to her, she needs to drop him, in my honest opinion I'm so sad that she stayed with him even after he slept with Alix Earle

If Candice and Tom were sleeping together since April, and the White Party was July 2 that's two months in (May/June) if I had to actually tell a man I want to be exclusive two months in, I don't wanna fucking be with him, it's a character thing, it should already be understood

I think it’s precisely because of what you mentioned (that Candice is an absolutely stunning woman who, at 38 (which isn’t exactly old), looks incredibly good, on top of being famous and rich) that she could have practically any man she wanted. So why did that man have to be, of all people, the ex of one of her best friends? Is she really so in love with Brady that it had to be him and only him, and no one else? I feel like it’s a little cruel to ask Joan to be happy about one of her best friends dating her ex-boyfriend. And that’s assuming she played no role in the breakup between one of her best friends and her boyfriend, with whom, coincidentally, she started dating very shortly after her good friend broke up with him (the timing seems to line up so suspiciously that it sounds like a joke lol).

But I respect that you see it that way, it's a different perspective. Perhaps a more modern or liberal one than my own when it comes to friendships.

That's the main thing: she is desperate. She's 38 and hasn't been in a proper relationship since Hermann. She missed out on dating people through her 20's. Pietro is the closest we've seen to someone she genuinely seemed in love with. I remember a podcast she did with Lily during covid. She said men need to bring more to the table because she can already provide than what she provide for herself. Tom doesn't have to rely on her because he has his own career, fame, and money. I'm sure that was very appealing to her. Granted, she could have gone after another man like him, but I'm sure the convenience of him being in Miami was appealing.

I want to add, she didn't attend the after party while Tom did. Also, if they were together, she broke her trend of liking posts of the man she likes. She never liked or has interacted with Tom's posts.

I/none of us can speak to "love" and whether she is or is not with him... with that said, the heart wants what the heart wants and if candice so badly wanted him over any other man, then probably couldn't help herself i suppose

i mean, while she can have any man she wants that doesn't mean she wants so many other men... and, if being brutally honest, there's a lot to like about tom (womanizing aside)... wealth, fame, good looks, well educated, athletic, good businessman, etc. etc. as someone else mentioned they both live in Miami so easy to spend time together at home

candice is far from the first, and will be far from the last, person to fall in love with the ex of a friend... it's not ideal and it sucks for the friend but it happens and when it does the friend has a choice to make: can either do what Joan is doing, end the friendship and blast the person to whomever will listen or... take some time to get the sadness/anger out, move on and just drop it or... as I said, be happy for the friend and go find yourself a new love

I think Doutzen wanted to stay out of the drama, and kept a distance from both Candice and Joan, which made me sad I love Candice and Doutzen so much more than Joan and Doutzen

As for Imaan Hammam, Imaan, Imaans sister, Joan, Dawn, Nastasya, and Laura Harrier all vacationed in Greece for like a week this summer, so I'm pretty sure Imaan and Joan are cool, Imaan was also promoting Tropic of C on that vacation, so I think Imaan and Candice are also cool, especially with Imaan still leaving positive comments on Candice's posts

I thought the same since she stopped doing the recap for New Years but her relationship with Instagram has been off for a while, wouldn't surprise me if she ends up not posting anything at all.

That explains it then. I had serious issues with them in the past here when they made extremely scary comments implying they knew Candice personally and would bring her parents and children into it. Plus accusing everyone they disagree with of being a bot cause god forbid people have differing viewpoints.

this sounds like a statement a bot would make lol. No one is accusing Candice of anything, everyone is just trying to figure out what unhinged Joan is trying to say with the summer house comment. Brady came into play because of the deuxmoi page. Furthermore, we will not know until they are photographed together and if they are dating it’s going to happened sooner or later especially in Miami. Both their reps aren’t going to reply or maybe they will since this is becoming big. At the end, it is sad that this friendship had to come to an end. One thing for sure is that Candice is not good at choosing man and if she is dating Brady, unfortunately I don’t see it lasting long. Due to Brady being a womanizer.
