August 27, 200717 yr linda....[also i miss supermodels bering on every cover of magazines!] u never saw celebs,,very rarely
August 27, 200717 yr also i miss supermodels bering on every cover of magazines! u never saw celebs,,very rarelyAgree. I also think the quality of the editorials has decreased.Over on the bwgreyscale forum, there was an interesting Forbes article that was linked to, which talked about top-earning models:Meanwhile, the rise of celebrity culture relegated many models to anonymity. Cosmetic companies almost exclusively sign celebrities for their campaigns, as do designers. Scarlett Johansson is the face of Louis Vuitton; Eva Longoria represents L'Oreal; Jessica Alba pouts for Revlon; the list goes on and on.Even more devastating to the industry's ability to create supermodels was that the fashion magazines followed suit. It's an excellent article (if you are interested in the industry). The original article:http://www.forbes.com/media/2007/07/19/mod...6topmodels.htmlThe thread on bwgreyscale (only a little discussion, at the moment):http://www.bwgreyscale.com/discussion_boar...opic.php?t=8783

I think they should really go back to putting mostly models on magazines and see if the fashion world can change for the better. however i don't see it ever going back to the way it used to be, but i shouldn't say never. At least if probably will never come back unless models start being beautiful like they used to be. The envy of every woman and the lust of every man. only very few models now are capable of that. and most of us know who they are......
