  1. You know that Sport magazine, a competitor to Sports Illustrated through the 90s, also had a swimwear issue, and that Cindy was in that? The year after she was in SISE. Crawford I mean, not Margolis. Margolis would also be in it but later.
  2. Yes agree. I believe Renard did all her calendars. Her Sports Illustrated stuff was not as good. Same exact concept but her work with Renard was consistently better, and for several calendars. Ritts & Crawford was a good analogy. Especially as they teamed for Playboy, and she could have picked Glaviano or D'Orazio obviously. Though I think Cindy did great work with Newton and Skrebneski and Weber as well.

  5. Leaving Las Vegas. One-third of the book is very very good (in my opinion), one-third of it is okay, one-third of it seemed incomplete/needed editing. Great movie. Goldfinger. Parts of the book are just fine, but parts of it I also found a bit offensive. Love the movie. Memento the film I think is better than Memento Mori the short story. It happens I'm reading Planet of the Apes right now (the 1963 novel by Pierre Boulle). I just started it, but so far it's good. Better than the remake for sure (so far), but I love the original film. I want to read Cool Hand Luke. That's on my list. A lot of the noir films could fit. If you don't like the writer's style, then you'll probably prefer the movies. Maltese Falcon or A Gun for Sale for example. I'm just not a huge fan of Dashiell Hammett or Graham Greene, for example, but love those movies.
  6. Okay. I'll see if I can think of someone who lives in France. By the way, do you remember the name of the magazine shop you were talking about?
  7. Well, here's a chance to try it out. I have a Magazine Help Request for/from another country. I think it's very unlikely, because of the details, but never know. Two magazines I want are listed on eBay France right now. I contacted the seller, but he won't send them to me via mail. I live in the USA. The seller lives in Lille, Nord, France. So: Any suggestions or ideas?
  8. Yes, it's a good idea. I understand about eBay (why I said I would only see Amica on eBay -- no one ever retails/carries current issues here). Ugh! I would be so Yes, please do. Or you could post the link or info here. Possibly other BZ members might be able to use it. Just nobody buy my ELLE TOP MODEL issues. Or else.
  9. Hi Kiki! Good idea for a topic. Part One: Your Request. I'm in USA, so probably can't help with the Amica. If I see it, it would be on eBay. For the "Vs" F/W 2011, do you mean the Victoria Secret catalog? Part Two: My Request. I'm looking for several of the old ELLE TOP MODEL magazines, the French editions. I think there are 22 total, and I'm missing 6 of the later ones. Is there a good used magazine shop in France anyone could recommend?
  10. You might search for posts from capt_bob, or send him a PM maybe. I don't know if there's anyone who posts more VS catalog stuff from the 90s, and he will typically post several different versions of the same image. I sometimes also see him on bwgreyscale. http://www.bwgreyscale.com/message_board/index.php
  11. Thanks for posting! They say the exhibit is coming to the Getty in Los Angeles (a really nice museum) next year as well. That would be a bit of a drive, but so tempting.
  12. One more. Thought a couple of these were pretty good, especially the 1st. Cartoon sketches/caricatures of Claudia: http://www.ict4us.com/popular/caricatures/...laudia+Schiffer But the one with the CHANEL logo is
  13. Thought a couple of these were sort of funny (sort of). Cartoon sketches/caricatures of Cindy: http://www.ict4us.com/popular/caricatures/...=Cindy+Crawford Cindy Crawfish?
  14. Thought this was a funny (sort of) cartoon sketch/caricature of Valeria: http://www.ict4us.com/popular/caricatures/...g=Valeria+Mazza Sort of absurd. I just got a chuckle out of it.
