Recommended Posts

Born in London, England, Amanda started modeling right out of high school at the age of 17.
She spent 4 years traveling the World and working with photographers that included David Bailey, Clive Arrowsmith, Terence Donovan, Lord Snowden, and John Swannell. and in later years Steven Meisel , Patrick Demarchelier Denis Piel and Mathew Rolston.
She was lucky enough to grace the covers of such magazines as Vogue, Harpers and Queen, Harpers Bazaar, and Tatler, among others.
But in her heart, she wanted to dig deeper and explore an acting career, so she gave up modeling and studied for 1 year before landing her first acting role opposite George Segal in an HBO movie called ‘The Cold Room’.
From here, Amanda made her way across the pond where she continued starring in such movies as Oxford Blues, and television series ‘Max Headroom’, and ‘The Flash’. She also met her future husband, actor Corbin Bernsen, and then embarked on the most important journey of her life, raising a family.
30 years on, with four grown children, Amanda and Corbin have enjoyed a nomadic life, traveling while buying, renovating and selling homes along the way.
They have recently published a coffee table lifestyle book together, called ‘Open House, re-inventing space for simple living’, to show for it.
Also included in Amanda’s list of achievements is the design of a furniture line, and appearing as the host of an architectural show called ‘ breathing Room’, for the Fine living Network.
Amanda and Corbin now reside in upstate New York, and have a family farmhouse in the Languedoc region of France.
