Having been spotted in London at the age of 17 by one of David Bailey’s assistants, Sam Gold began an illustrious and exciting modeling career which took her to almost every corner of the Earth. Sam spent a good deal of her time in both Paris and Milan, where some of her favorite clients, photographer’s and editors were all based. Sam worked consistently with Fabrizio Ferri, Giovanni Gastel, Christian Moser, Sarah Moon, John Swanelle, Victor Screbneski, and Deborah Turbeville for the Ungaro Campaign. Sam donned the covers and pages of magazines such as Vogue, Donna, Marie Claire, Elle, Harpers & Queen (amongst others) and was a regular face on perfume and fashion ads and campaigns. She walked the catwalk for years, stretching into multiple season’s. Sam’s first appearance was for the very first ever season of Dolce & Gabbana, and her 2nd was for Christian Dior which swiftly followed into being a regular face for Christian Lacroix, Romeo Gigli and multiple other diverse genres of designers, from the late 80’s through the early 90’s. Sam created the company which she currently continues to run Alvin & Sparky, LLC – a high-end cashmere accessory company, focusing predominantly on children’s cashmere toys e.g. Cashmere Bears/Elephants/Puppies/Rabbits and a whole slew of other four legged cuddle friends. Sam resides in NYC and is both a US and British Citizen.
