May 5, 20223 yr From the same DRP milita war correspondent- in this one a squad crosses the street and one man gets hit. NSFW
May 6, 20223 yr This war (5/6) is getting really weird. 1. Russians are making slow gains in the Donbass/South but retreating in the Kharkiv region, which they left a skeleton crew to hold. It's like they took Kharkiv hostage and used the region as a diversionary area to prevent the Ukrainians from reinforcing the East and South. 2. Ukr Gov't/Military is claiming that Putin is close to declaring war on Ukraine. The 9th of May is supposed to be the day he does it. We'll see.. Total collapse of peace talks in the near-term. 3. Massive increase of US military aid to Ukraine to the level of a proxy war and big help with US intelligence services & satellites. However the US aid is unlikely to effect the situation on the ground in the near term (coming weeks) as the equipment needs to be integrated with trained troops. And the polygot of equipment Ukraine got from Allied nations is going to be a maintenance and logistics mess, it is unlikely they will get the most out of what they have been given. The most valuable equipment they received were the US/NATO self-propelled howitzers. 4. The Russians continue to pursue their objectives on a razor edge, and with relatively few forces. Massively outnumbered by the Ukrainians in infantrymen while having great superiority in air support, equipment and firepower. It is unlikely that the NATO/US aid will reverse the Russian material superiority. At the same time, without declaring war on Ukraine the Russian infantry inferiority will persist and cripple offensive operations. It seems like they are stuck in some critical areas and advancing at a snail's pace.

I'm sure you're not a bad guy, just someone who hardly tolerates disagreement. But I'm not surprised. Intolerance is rising in North America and you just follow the wave. So, here's a little song for you. A reminder that everybody deserves to breathe.
May 11, 20223 yr These are the light IFVs that the Russian paratroops use. They can also be parachute-dropped from aircraft.
May 11, 20223 yr Elon Musk publicly stated that he would bring back donald trump if he owned Twitter. Maybe US troops would enter the war Spoiler on the side of the Russians once Trump becomes President again, haha.
May 14, 20223 yr Recent Russian MOD kill claims. The tanks and armored vehicles figure increased by approx. 800 since last I saw them. Both sides have gigantic claims of enemy losses but very small reported losses themselves. Perhaps losses on both sides are a lot smaller than their mutual claims. This puts into perspective though how trivial US/NATO aid has been so far in the short-term. It is also trivial compared to Russia's weapons capacity. In terms of tanks/AFVs and artillery it has far more than even the US. In total, 165 Ukrainian aircraft and 125 helicopters, 845 unmanned aerial vehicles, 304 anti-aircraft missile systems, 3,039 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 369 multiple launch rocket systems, 1,498 field artillery and mortars, as well as 2,882 units of special military vehicles were destroyed during the operation.
May 14, 20223 yr This popped up in my youtube feed and it is 100% how I feel about watching sports. or maybe war is sports to me:

May 17, 20223 yr Approx. 265 Ukrainian troops surrendered at Azovstal yesterday, if the Ukr claims are accurate there are 600 (?) men left. The commander of Regiment Azov put a message on social media saying that the Ukrainian resistance has fulfilled their duty to Ukraine, implicitly saying that it's time for the rest to surrender. The Battle of Mariupol is coming to an end. According to the Pentagon, the Russians only had two battalions there for the past 2-3 weeks anyway. The other dozen BTG already left. This means that the firepower used against the Azovstal will be shifted to other fronts.
May 18, 20223 yr Terminators in Ukraine. These specialized weapons are designed to protect Russian tanks by being more effective at eliminating infantry and anti-tank weapons. They could have brought them out 2 1/2 months ago LOL. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BMPT_Terminator
May 19, 20223 yr Rubizne, another destroyed city. According to one estimate, 60% of the buildings in Mariupol were destroyed. Around half a million people lived there.
