Daenerys is definitely a brat. The remaining characters are often kids, because all the grownups end up dying.... Tywin was a pretty smart ruler. Ned was good in many senses, but too naive in the end (a fatal flaw). Catelyn was less naive than her husband, but still naive. Tyrion and Jaime are part of the few real grownups left alive. I feel like Cersei has something up her sleeve and it won't end like everyone thinks it will. JJ Martin doesn't end major characters in a predictable way. Cersei is indeed extraordinary selfish and ruthless but so was Tywin, and both see their family as everything. The north was good at getting themselves killed! I always saw Davos as a boring character (meant to channel the audience?), just a nice guy that's there. For me the only characters I really like are Jaime, Cercei, and the hound. IMHO they burn their coffee into a very dark roast for standardization purposes- so they can take a mixture of coffee quality and destroy the natural flavor and homogenize it.
