Stormbringer Posted August 12, 2016 Author Posted August 12, 2016 One of Oasis' most blatant rip-offs: SAME intro as: Quote
EngSciNaGirl Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 another blatant copy-paste ..... by MC Hammer this time Original: Copy-paste: Quote
Stormbringer Posted October 26, 2016 Author Posted October 26, 2016 ^ That's copy-paste on it's ugliest forms!! That guy sampled pretty much the whole thing!! --- George Harrison was sued because of My Sweet Lord being suspiciously similar to this song: My Sweet Lord I think it was most likely an unconscious thing... I doubt Harrison would have been copying like that at that point of his career. But the similarities between both songs are undeniable. Quote
Stormbringer Posted January 22, 2017 Author Posted January 22, 2017 Led Zeppelin not only copies but have been copied too: The first time I heard this song by Pearl Jam I honestly thought it was a cover Till I realized it had completely different lyrics, and found the song's name... Quote
Stormbringer Posted June 14, 2017 Author Posted June 14, 2017 Two suspiciously similar songs by Arthur Crudup That's All Right is more known by Elvis Presley's version. Edit: Actually both songs were covered by Elvis Quote
Enrico_sw Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 This anime theme It was inspired from Bach's Toccata & Fugue Quote
Enrico_sw Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 Pretty Little Ditty (one of Red hot Chili Pepper's best songs)! Crazy Town inspired from it by taking the riff (they even say "pretty little ditty" in their song). The original (Red hot's!) is of course the best one. Quote
Stormbringer Posted July 7, 2017 Author Posted July 7, 2017 ^ It's the same thing!!! They kill the original though -------- John Bonham took that drum intro from somewhere: Quote
Enrico_sw Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 These two soundtracks. It's subtle, but the introduction from Good Will Hunting OST is definitely close to the leitmotiv from "The Mission". What do you think? @Stormbringer Quote

Enrico_sw Posted September 30, 2017 Posted September 30, 2017 I think that these guys... ... were inspired by these ones! (I prefer the original song by CTE) Quote
Stormbringer Posted January 9, 2018 Author Posted January 9, 2018 Well, this one got in the news recently: Radiohead is suing Lana Del Rey. Same chord progression and same melody But Radiohead in turn was sued for Creep in the past for copying this song Quote

For Radiohead, it's quite obvious that they took a big inspiration from the Hollies, but they added a bit more adaptation in it. Quote

Yes, in Radiohead's case concerning The Hollies there's quite some similarities and they probably took inspiration from it. But Lana Del Rey's song really sounds like a blatant copy Quote
Enrico_sw Posted January 23, 2018 Posted January 23, 2018 The intros look a bit similar @Stormbringer What do you think? Quote
Stormbringer Posted January 23, 2018 Author Posted January 23, 2018 7 minutes ago, Enrico_sw said: The intros look a bit similar @Stormbringer What do you think? Not really.... It's just 8th notes on a similar tempo and that's it. It's like most generic thing ever Quote
Enrico_sw Posted January 23, 2018 Posted January 23, 2018 ^ Sure, it's not very original, but it's not just the rythm Quote

I mean, yes it's similar.... but still not THAT much being as it is quite generic 8th notes Quote
