^ That's copy-paste on it's ugliest forms!! :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

That guy sampled pretty much the whole thing!! :rofl::rofl:

George Harrison was sued because of My Sweet Lord being suspiciously similar to this song:

My Sweet Lord

I think it was most likely an unconscious thing... I doubt Harrison would have been copying like that at that point of his career. But the similarities between both songs are undeniable.

Led Zeppelin not only copies but have been copied too:

The first time I heard this song by Pearl Jam I honestly thought it was a cover :ninja:

Till I realized it had completely different lyrics, and found the song's name...

Two suspiciously similar songs by Arthur Crudup

That's All Right is more known by Elvis Presley's version.

Edit: Actually both songs were covered by Elvis

This anime theme

It was inspired from Bach's Toccata & Fugue

Pretty Little Ditty (one of Red hot Chili Pepper's best songs)!  :guitar::guitar::guitar:

Crazy Town inspired from it by taking the riff (they even say "pretty little ditty" in their song). The original (Red hot's!) is of course the best one.

^ It's the same thing!!! :rofl::rofl:

They kill the original though :ninja:

John Bonham took that drum intro from somewhere:

These two soundtracks. It's subtle, but the introduction from Good Will Hunting OST is definitely close to the leitmotiv from "The Mission".

What do you think? @Stormbringer

Oh, at some point it's pretty much the exact same thing :rofl::rofl:

I think that these guys...

... were inspired by these ones! (I prefer the original song by CTE)

Well, this one got in the news recently: Radiohead is suing Lana Del Rey.

Same chord progression and same melody

But Radiohead in turn was sued for Creep in the past for copying this song

:oh_no: Lana Del Rey basically copied Creep!

For Radiohead, it's quite obvious that they took a big inspiration from the Hollies, but they added a bit more adaptation in it.

Yes, in Radiohead's case concerning The Hollies there's quite some similarities and they probably took inspiration from it.

But Lana Del Rey's song really sounds like a blatant copy :rofl::rofl:

The intros look a bit similar :chicken:

@Stormbringer  What do you think?

Not really....

It's just 8th notes on a similar tempo and that's it. It's like most generic thing ever :rofl:

^ Sure, it's not very original, but it's not just the rythm :Amelie_wft::laugh:

After the intro on Cherry Bomb also there's a minor 3rd jump on the sixth 8th note.... but there it happens on the verse, while on Heartbreaker it's done only on the main riff, with no singing over it.

I mean, yes it's similar.... but still not THAT much being as it is quite generic 8th notes
