Bodybuilding was banned on ESPN in 1998.

It's interesting how since then ... bodybuilding, which is a very poorly paid and life-shortening sport has found new life on social media with top youtube influencers raking in millions of $.   A couple influencers have had serious health issues and some have died in recent years.

It's ironic that they brand themselves as promoting healthy lifestyle & fitness but in reality bodybuilding is the extreme opposite of health.  It's basically body dismorphia.  Over-exercise, damaging the body, damaging your internal organs and consuming 1,000 +% of the cholesterol a normal human should be eating isn't health.

Honestly this is my favorite look of Milva (cosplay girl, beautiful)  Someone who looks like her but with an athletes' body:

I am reviewing Witcher Season 1 & 2.  It seems that Freya Allen got a nose job?  Her nostrils in public photos look like they shrunk.

There's something in her face that looks very artificial. I've always thought that the design of Ciri in the Witcher 3 was way better.

As I'm rewatching stuff to prep for S3 it has come to me that The Netflix witcher is really not made for fans of the books & games.  It is made for the "general audience" meaning everybody and it is really a teenaged fantasy show like Umbrella Academy directed by Lauren H. before she took on this job.

The show has little to do with the books as an adaptation, it's like a Frankenstein monster where they looked at the games & books and just took whatever was convenient to tell their own story and do their own diverse casting. eg. In episode 1 S3 the "professor" appears and he is a character from Witcher 1 game lol, playing a role that has nothing to do with his role in W1.

Fans of the books and games generally hate this show but I can imagine that people who know zero about the Witcher liking it a lot more.

Freya is wearing tons of makeup and looks like she's at a fashion show.  Freya herself I like in season 1 but afterwards the makeup gets worse and worse

Freya has a face that makes her look very child-like for her age.  But once Ciri is a teen and fully grown I think she should be recast with a someone who is more athletic and taller, and more womanly.

Polish blonde,

very pretty & cute but eyes- face not angular-interesting enough for Ciri.  Freya is still better.

Are Britney Spears and Sam separate?

The shows doesn't even work for the general audience, because 2023 American writers aren't very talented. The only thing they're good at is gender or race swapping characters, belittling men (just because they're men) and then bragging about it on twitter.

The problem is that if you don't tell a good story, the general audience won't like it.

As for Freya, it's obvious that Lauren S. Hissrich sees her as a younger version of herself, but I don't like neither of them. The actress for Yennefer, however, is pretty good.

I heard that Season 3 has a sharp drop in viewership.  S2 was pretty successful and so was S1.  What they seem to be doing is trying to do a 'middle way', having it appeal to both feminists and normal people, and feminists are increasing in number in the US.  S2 disappointed many people and caused many fans to quit the show afterwards.  In S3 they may have overreached as they have reduced Geralt's Role and the Show has gone down from approx. 30% books to maybe just 15%.

Feminists see the world in extremely polarized & paranoid lenses and consider entertainment from 10-15 + years ago as being sexist or not feminist enough.

The biggest inherent problem with the show is that the wrong writing team and the wrong directors, and the wrong company took charge of the project.  These are not people who truly like Sapkowski's books and CDPR's vision for the saga.   There were photos of their writing team that circulated a few years ago and they were mostly women with the male writers being effeminate looking.

Their team has feminist-left wing leanings and the "Witcher" is too "sexist" for them.  I saw some of the stuff on reddit written by Feminists about the games, show and the books and clearly they find it too sexist.

Anya is pretty decent but I don't see her as Yennefer.  Same thing for Henry cavill.  The entire show is miscast outside maybe a couple of characters (Tissiana De Vries is great)

On further reflection the show also resembles a jobs program.  They have good funding and consume $millions of dollar per episode and have an excessive amount of props and characters.  A lot of resources are wasted and looks more like their agenda is just to showcase their technical skills. The show would actually be better with fewer actors.

Overall it's a hack show designed to further the careers of everyone involved except Henry Cavill & maybe some nameless ones.  They aren't passionate about the Witcher and I suspect that most of the actors aren't even familiar with the games and the books.

The actress that plays Mother Nenneke is black and has no idea who the character is.  The character is more like a Head Nun.  She plays her like she's a Black Witch Doctor archetype.
