SympathysSilhouette
Her management has released a statement which confirms that her condition has stabilized and she is no longer deemed to be in critical condition. The doctors are also optimistic about her recovery, so the news is certainly better than the initial reports suggested.

Nefertiti
Happy that she is all right Dutch model Yfke Sturm who last week had fractured her skull following a freak accident with a motorized surfboard, has woken up from a medically induced coma according to Italian newspapers. The blonde beauty, was riding a motorized surfboard when she fell into the water and hit her head. Other reports had suggested that the incident occurred after she fell from her board and was hit by another rider. She was then rushed to a local hospital on Ischia and later airlifted to a specialist clinic in Naples. Sturm suffered a fractured skull and several fractured vertebrae, leaving her at risk of paralysis. Following the accident, she was placed in a medically induced coma and required the use of a ventilator. Italian newspaper La Repubblica reported on Thursday, that the Dutch model had come out of her coma and was showing improvement. Her father Wilfred Sturm told Dutch newspaper The Telegraaf on Friday that his daughter had a "hairline fracture in her skull" but there was "no bleeding". Yfke has modelled for Victoria's Secret, Chanel and Marc Jacobs and also hosted reality TV show 'Holland's Next Top Model'. In July, the 33 year old gave birth to her first child, a son named Alexander. Storm currently resides London.
