donbot
Really love this song right now by Jessica Cerro. She was a finalist in this year's Triple J Unearthed High contest, which seeks out the best high school bands/artists in the country. Pretty amazing stuff for such young'uns. Jessica is one to watch for sure.. there's a lot of Regina about her (Y)The girl who won (announced this morning), ASTA is pretty great too! Hes a newbie, think hes gonna be big, and I'm really liking this song. Perfect for a night at the club
Layla90
^I heard it just once... I know another song of his a bit better, something with 'Girls girls girls I just can't say no' or something like that... I get a 'Bieber for older teenagers/early 20-year-olds' vibe from him

donbot
Bon Iver, Beck and Ben Lee are among the all-star cast to collaborate on a new EP by Los Angeles vocal choir The Silver Lake Chorus. They're a 25 piece choir probably best known for their work with US comedian Andy Samberg on his musical comedy project Lonely Island, and it looks like they've accumulated some famous friends.Other collaborators on the group's debut EP Wreckage, due next month, include Sia Furler, The New Pornographers' front man AC Newman, Tegan and Sara and Of Montreal.Ben Lee will take the production reins on the EP, which will be mixed by former Iron and Wine and Counting Crows engineer Brian Deck.Below, you can hear a track called 'From The Snow Tipped Hills', which was penned by Bon Iver's Justin Vernon. As you'd expect, it's lathered in creamy and complex harmonies.

Michael*
Really like that Jessica Cerro number. Very Spektor-like. Been listening to this one quite a bit too. I'm thinking Arcade Fire with the vocal interplay of the xx.

Michael*
Here's the new video for the David Byrne/St Vincent tune from the last page, which is currently growing on me like mad. Really looking forward to the album now. And one from new band TOY. Don't suppose it'll score top marks for originality but I like the song a lot. Kind of a poppy take on Krautrock. donbot
Thom Yorke has unveiled the first tune from his newish side project Atoms For Peace. The band - which is made up of Yorke, fellow Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich, Chili Peppers bassist Flea, drummer Joey Waronker and percussionist Mauro Refosco - have been performing live sporadically since 2009 but this track marks their first official release. "You may have heard that I have a new project called Atoms for Peace," said Yorke via a press release announcing the news. "The name comes from some shows of The Eraser that happened a couple of years ago with Mauro, Joey, Nigel and Flea. We got a big buzz from them and discovered loads of energy from transforming the music from electronic to live, and so afterwards, we carried on for a few days in the studio and decided to make it a loose, on-going thing. Immersed in the area between the two … electronic and live. The first tune we'd like you hear is 'Default'." Both Yorke and Flea are said to be finishing the group's debut long-player at the moment with a release expected sometime in 2013.
