Com sólidos dez anos de carreira, Jeísa tem, por exemplo, visão bastante peculiar da sua profissão. "Deveria ser proibido por lei uma menina ser modelo com menos de 16 anos. - Como começou a carreira?

- Tinha 12 anos quando o Luciano Szafir fez um trabalho em Lajedo, no Sul. Eu estava lá, ele me viu e me indicou para uma agência. No ano seguinte já desembarquei em São Paulo fazendo 15 desfiles na semana de moda.

- Você perdeu a infância?

- Com a vida que levo, se voltasse atrás não seria modelo. Ia ser médica ou arquiteta. Você perde a infância mesmo, é uma loucura. Tenho até pena quando vejo as meninas começando nessa correria. Criança tem que ser criança. Para mim, só não foi pior porque sempre fui madura. Nunca brinquei de boneca, então perdi menos coisas que a maioria das meninas.

- Mas não tem nenhuma vantagem em ser modelo?

- Claro! Viajei o mundo, aprendi duas línguas (inglês e italiano) e conheci diversas culturas. Gosto de ter essa bagagem do mundo.

- E financeiramente?

- É outra grande vantagem. Sou independente há vários anos, o que é difícil em qualquer profissão. Um jovem raramente consegue ter casa própria e um bom salário, mas isso também só aconteceu por causa da minha responsabilidade. Sempre fui muito séria.

- E quando você deixa de ser tão responsável?

- Ah, quando compro roupas. É uma obsessão. Tenho mais de 200 pares de sapatos e uma vez já gastei 3000 dólares em uma bolsa Prada. Mas não é sempre. A maior parte do que tenho foi presente.

- Você é conhecida por se vestir bem fora das passarelas. Qual o seu estilo?

- Sou flexível, mas depende do meu humor diário. Busco montar visuais inéditos. Claro que com o bom gosto predominando.
