It is interesting to see the Russian media coverage- they are constantly accusing URK of war crimes that the US media claims that the Russians committed.

Also they have a particular interest in the stubborn Azov Regiment- Putin's Nazis.  They are accusing them of all sorts of war crimes.  Frankly any soldier in this group is in trouble if they are captured by the Russians.

Interesting thing I heard was that the Russian army supposedly banned cell phones for their soldiers- so we get very little footage from them and a ton from the URK every day.

At Kyiv, the Russians are approaching artillery range for their ubiquitous 152mm self-propelled artillery pieces.  Once their combat formations fight their way within 25 KM, they can start using their artillery forces to systematically destroy the city.

Why would anyone do that? Ugh.

There was fake air combat footage from the first day! of the war- they uploaded stuff from ARMA and other games and made certain claims.  The "Ghost of Kyiv" or something was a hoax (URK fighter ace).

Besides the fake air combat footage there are also fake pictures of tank wrecks being claimed as part of this war.  Some of the pictures look like they were taken by 1990s-era film photography (previous wars), in other countries/wars etc.

Russia's elite wants to eliminate Putin, they have already chosen a successor - intelligence

I don't understand why Putin/the Russian leadership decided to wage this risky war but I suspect it is something more spiritual than tangible & based on money signs- the idea of neutralizing Ukraine and integrating it back into the Russian sphere of influence.   I think he knows that his days as leader of Russia are numbered.  Putin's popularity in Russia has fallen significantly since the early 2010s according to many polls- particuarly among young people who don't like him.  He still has a lot of supporters but mostly among middle aged and old people.

Maybe this war is some kind of last "hurrah" to make a big impact.  Keephim in power and make him a "great" figure in Russian history as some sort of legacy.  As some sort of catalyst to change Russian society into other form.

The signs right now are accumulating (rapidly, all sorts of news) that the Russians are escalating the war into a war of attrition.  There are signs that they have given up on the climatic battle of Kyiv for now, and are preparing an artillery offensive to ruin the city first.   Their offensive objectives are largely elsewhere, particularily in the south.

They are moving a lot more personnel and weapons to the Ukraine and even conscripting more young Russians.

So it was just a part of western propaganda? The "Ghost of Kyiv" has been confirmed as fake?
