I have asparagus, broccoli, oignons, bell pepper in my fridge. They usually last a week. I've bought a lot of salmon, beef, sausages, chicken and eggs, they usually last two weeks. I have lots of salmon roes (and they last long). I have many many cheeses (a lot of them), eggplant caviar, hummus and guacamole. I drink kefir a lot (that's my drinkable dairy). I still have a couple of fruits. These are my fresh products. My longlasting storable products are soups, rice, pasta, paté, canned fishes (herring, tuna, anchovy), saucisson, pollen. I have lots of regular spices, exotic spices, crackers, cereals, lentils, etc. With all of this, there are many possible combinations and many great meals (even better than restaurants), yet these are quite cheap products (except for salmon roes ) --------- Are you gonna sell them afterwards? Spoiler

BTW, there are two difference between 1911 and today: sugar (craploads of it) and processed food. Stop eating them (or limit the intake) and you're all fine.

I hope that some of our favorite bureaucrats will be able to do some simple maths: compare the cost of a couple of millions of masks/tests to the loss of GDP we'll get this year. Next time, I hope our governments will be smarter, like Korea, Singapore and Taiwan (you know, the country that the snotty WHO don't know about )

I'll pass! 14 minutes ago, jkjk said: I'm sure the churches lose money without the people there in person, but the government needs to do the right thing like they have done with businesses. If the people think church will protect them from getting sick, I'm sure they can believe church will survive any money problems. That's where it becomes tricky cause of the 1st Amendment. Churches are tax exempt anyway.

US needs to say to China after the crisis that out debt is paid cause they lied, hope other countries do this as well.
April 2, 20205 yr I'm learning a lot of stuff thanks to this Coronashit. Did you know that 8% of our DNA comes from viruses that our ancestors caught? I also learnt that it's thanks to a retrovirus that mammals developped placenta! A lot of cool sci-fi shows used retroviruses (like Stargate Atlantis - the Scottish doctor used it, before the hot doctor came to replace him). Retroviruses are the ones that can integrate their genetic patrimony into our DNA.
April 2, 20205 yr I like this guy! He's cultivated, he knows his stuff and he's not a conformist. He uses logic/critical thinking to make his opinion and he doesn't give a shit if it contradicts the prevailing opinion.
April 3, 20205 yr I want to see a leader somewhere in the world say something like "I didn't take this seriously as quickly as I should have" or "Our bad preparation or bad reaction is my fault". I imagine this person doesn't exist, though.

I give the data about 1-2 weeks based on the overly late quarantine. Then maybe it will slow down the growth. or not...

Don't you go to the grocery store though? Only chance I think to slow it down is for the weather to heat up, the Northern states are fucked for another 6-8 weeks if that holds true.
April 3, 20205 yr I went to the grocery store once (circa 1 week ago for only 10-15 minutes with no mask). Costco once, and Walmart once. (2 weeks ago). I won't have to go back for about 4 weeks. I might be optimistic, it's only a guess based on how fast (avg. 5 days, up to 12 days) that people get ill and go to the hospital. The statewide COVID-19 count is 25,590 cases and 537 fatalities, as of Thusday April 2nd, an increase of 3,489 cases and 182 deaths since Wednesday. COVID-19 Cases by County Data is provisional and subject to revision. 4,866 Positives Pending Further Information 4 Deaths Pending Further Information Bergen County: 4,099 Positive Test Result(s) 120 Deaths
