There is a (literal) easter egg in the base game that could be the portal to the DLC. Like how in Ashes of Ariendal the player enters a Painting. It's weird cause it's the composer's (Yuka Kitamura) official account. The soundtrack is "Soul of Cinder" and there's a transition (that starts at 2:16) to a mix of the first part of the track and Gwyn's theme (aka plin plin plon). It seems to correspond to the 2nd part of the fight. I didn't notice it when I played cause I didn't know Gwyn's theme at the time. I didn't know these references when I first played DS3. Miyasaki is a real genius. Lots of subtle cross references in his games. I understand why people spend hours trying to decipher the games.
