I listened to only half of the album so far- 1 song is decent but the others were not imho. I will give it a better review later when I have time to listen to it all. I didn't like either the flagship songs.

I’ll keep listening to The Fate of Ophelia on repeat until my ears bleed. Vid in 24 hours.

@Lilja K

I listened to the whole album today. My first impression is that it is my least favorite album she's made in recent years and overall the theme isn't for me. A couple of songs are ok to me.

My favorite albums are mostly her later ones that focus on darker themes (1989, folklore, evermore, midnights, TTPD).

I do agree that the Ophelia song is one of the stronger ones in the album.

Will she do a tour for this album I wonder?

On September 19, 2025, Swift announced a "film event" titled Taylor Swift: The Official Release Party of a Showgirl. Publications described it as an album release party,[73] a special program,[74] and a movie-musical event.[75] It is a limited theatrical release in over 100 countries:[75][76] from October 3 to 5 in eighteen territories, and on later dates elsewhere.[77][78] The film features the music video for the lead single, "The Fate of Ophelia", behind-the-scenes footage of the video, lyric videos of the album's tracks, and Swift's commentary on the songs. The total runtime is 89 minutes.[76

I don't really like TTPD either, my favs are Red, Midnights and everything in between

the ghost of yotei story is quite good. It's a classic revenge tale with the moral that if you want revenge, dig another grave for yourself.

Despite all the claims from the culture war grifters that the main character is 'woke' before the game came out the actress did a good job as a miserable hateful demoness. I think the studio is heavily influenced by Japanese cinema.
