Some people are sick

Recommended Posts

This is gross. This is cruel. This is one of the most disgusting things I've seen in my life.

So I've failed at becoming a vegetarian. I got a few months in and well... I missed eating dead animals.

BUT THAT WAS DEAD ANIMALS.

Chinese chef deep fries a fish while keeping it ALIVE and serves it ALIVE so people can eat it ALIVE.

This is interesting...this might be a hoax.

A fish can last for a few hours or so without water but once the heat/fire goes into their body it dies right away. This fish looks like a small bluefish and from what I've heard catfish are the only fish that can last for a long time without water.

And no one was literally eating the fish...therefor I think it's a hoax

Now that I've seen the other video and people do eat this half dead fish...it's NOT a big deal. People do this all the time in other countries.

Even in America...

Most inuit ( Eskimo's of Alaska) people from North American Arctic eats hunted live Walrus, ringed seal, bearded seal, beluga whale, polar bear, berries, and fireweed.

These are considered inuit type of diet..NOT a big deal really. Whatever floats your boat?

In REAL LIFE people are all different...lifestyle and most specially the environment. What amazes me about human is our ways to ADAPT to anything.

It's all about the FIVE SENSES

What makes me sick is not that people eat fish alive, it actually makes me sick because of their attitude

The Inuits might eat the meat raw but I'm pretty sure the seals are dead when they eat them. They're more respectful than that.

Heck, I've eaten balut eggs before... maybe even dog but just didn't know what it was.

This isn't really even a part of Chinese culture, though. This is just some new thing some chef tried to do to make more sales. The worst part is that people are buying this and MOCKING the poor fish as it sits there on the plate with BRAIN ACTIVITY. Yes, it may only just be an animal and it probably doesn't feel the people picking off parts of it's body but that's not the point. "You are what you eat" and if you eat something that you've robbed the dignity from, you yourself have no dignity.

I'm not saying let's go all PETA like and blow up their restaurant. They have all the right to do what they want in their restaurant as long as it doesn't harm other people but DON'T SAY THAT I DON'T HAVE THE RIGHT TO THINK THEY'RE BEING UTTERLY DISGUSTING.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions...people are all different and every one of us wants to be unique. RESPECT says it all.

The Chinese community have their own ways of thinking out of the box and I respect them for that. Eating this half dead fried fish is their prerogative.

"You are what you eat" is precisely right. What is the difference between eating dead animals that had been death for days or months and this half dead fish?

Mocking is a strong word to use...Don't we all mock all those dead animals in our fridges by looking at them and then deciding which one to cook...hmmm, should I have beef or chicken today? I suppose I can have chicken today, since I did NOT see it get butchered by some guy that works for Perdue or whatnot. It's perfectly fine

hmmm...BALUT EGGS...I'm surprised you know this. Pilipino's loves this 1 day old to 18 days old duck embryo eggs...You know, I have always refused to eat this duck eggs  and to me it's just wrong to even watch my friends eat this eggs but they love it...so, I watched everyone because of RESPECT.

Haha dogs...another sensitive subject for me...Michael Bryan is the name of my very first dog and he used to live in the biggest house in Asia and someone snatched him one night and...I'm going to STOP now. It is too painful to remember. :cry2:

It is very important to ask QUESTIONS before you devour something unusual  We all have our different TASTE because we are human.

Winter in Alaska is fun and INUIT people are NICE.

Are you being serious?

Dude, my black lab went missing in the Philippines too when I was little. If you don't hold any degree of resentment over something like that happening to your beloved pet then I don't know. You must have acheived some sort of "higher reality" or something.

That isn't the point though.

Yeah yeah... adnimals don't have souls. Animals don't go to heaven. blah blah blah...

That still isn't the point.

THE FISH WAS ALIVE, GUTTED ALIVE, FRIED ALIVE, AND EAT ALIVE.

IT STILL HAD AN ACTIVE NERVOUS SYSTEM.

Imagine yourself being the fish and being awake for all that. Having your face smothered while your stomach was ripped open and you were dipped into boiling oil. All the time you can feel it. Then you're presented on a plate where your head, eyes, mouth, and who knows what other body part are poked at just so people can see you trying to gasp for air. It's all for a cheap laugh while those people over the course of a meal rip parts of your body off and eat them. You're reduced to your bones but you're still alive for it all. They probably don't even put you out of your misery after they're done having their fun. Whatever is left of you is probably just thrown in the trash where you're left to soffocate to death for the next few hours.

At least with livestock there's standards like where they're electrecuted first so they don't feel pain when they're slaughtered.

I’m agree with Tooboku when he says he is allowed to say ‘it disgusts me »

Respect is something really important but I think there is respect when there are limits. But as you say everybody is different and have his own opinions. that’s why when politicians create a law they take care of the majority and don’t expect an unanimity...

If they aren’t laws, if their aren’t limits you could kill, rape someone without be arrested.

The moral is an important piece of our evolution... without it we could have sex with our parents, brother, sister etc without problem and trust me it certainly could create many and many genetic anomalies…

If people were only focused on themselves, weren’t try to understand the world, searched in the unknown to find answers and maybe a possibility to evolve and make experience to find the difference between the good and the bad, we certainly could be mentally retarded. :ninja:

i didn’t watch the video. I don’t need to watch it, I’m already vegan since I’m 17 years old and in same time the video doesn’t interested me.

i watched so many videos on the meat or the fur industry than now... one more, one less...

yes it’s cruel to eat an alive fish... this is immoral, but the meat industry is as cruel as it… maybe more because cows, chickens, pigs etc suffer during months.

animals can’t walk, can’t sleep and they spend their time to eat to be fat… and it represent an horrible quantity of cereals who could be given at poor populations.

Industries buy fertile piece of earth at the poor farmers. they chose a place and often buy many fields. if 80% of farmer can be agree to sell their fields sometimes 20% aren’t agree... and trust me, if they resist these persons can have many big problems...

and because now the fields are here to product the animals’ cereals, local populations can be obligated to import their food and the price became more expensive… and it’s always easier to be sick when you don’t eat enough or you put all your money to buy food and now you can’t buy medications or buy books for the school…

by the way meat industry never be a big help against the pollution (of earth and water) or the global warning...

I don’t call all the things the tradition but “be blind for our own satisfaction”… and I’m sorry maybe my question will be “disrespectful” but “where is the respect ?”

In the animals’ suffering ? in populations’ famines ? in the earth pollution ? in the mc Donald’s burgers who are put in the garbage after 20 minutes if they aren’t sell ?

Sorry but I can’t name it the “respect” but the “stupidity” . :yuckky:

ps : you can be c*nt and nice in same times. the two aren't incompatible

haha  am I being serious about my dog...hmmm, let's see.

How would you feel when someone told you that your dog had been an appetizer for the whole entire village?

Let's just say that one of my heart died when I heard this

All I'm saying is people are different and if it's too hard to understand then so be it...has anyone of you done a 25pages paper for 'ANIMAL RIGHTS' for a class? Titled 'Is it right to butcher animals for the sake of mankind?' meaning for medicine, survival, and whatever.

Again, I am emphasizing that EVERYONE is entitled to their OWN opinions!

RESPECT is always good for us human's to know that we are all CIVILIZED. I don't want to give examples but...I supposed I have to now  the BOX is already opened.

Have you ever heard of CANNIBALS? I'm sure you do...other people eating other people. DO you find that REPULSIVE?

Anyhow, this is a HALF DEAD FISH...my knowledge of fish is quite impressive really. When a fish is out of his/her habitat, it will flap it's body and gasp for air like human's under water. When a fish is gutted and fried...it will die because of HEAT/FIRE. 10-20 mins should do this.

This Half Dead Fish had been half fried...so they say. It means the fish body had been on a pan with more than 130+F HEAT. Any fish on a pan this HOT will probably die in 2 mins or so. My first instinct tells me that this is a HOAX but after seeing another video maybe it is real. To be honest, I'm still NOT 100% sure that it is real because...

A. Where is this restaurant?

B. Is it really half alive when they ate the fish because the fish head wasn't moving in that video when those people were chowing down,

C. I'm NOT a fish so I don't know exactly how the fish felt when they were frying or eating them.

As for me, imagining myself as a FISH...NOT gonna happen because first of all CANNIBALISM is real...so, I don't need to imagine anything

And about RESPECT, hmmm...the law is there to CIVILIZE us human beings but...yes, I have to agree that most people doesn't know the true meaning of RESPECT and this is quite sad...lack of education maybe or lack of love! To me RESPECT is very important.

The fish didn't deserve any of it and those animals that had been butchered because of Corporations...definitely didn't deserve to be butchered but...it is what it is and this is REALITY whether we like it or NOT.

Chinese chef's were just thinking out of the ordinary box and I RESPECT them for that!

Now, let me finish eating this HALF ROASTED DEAD PIG from CHINATOWN  it's actually saying oink oink at the moment  (just kidding)

not for my classroom but for forums yes XD and there is a big difference between the stomach's pleasure and the medecin... don't you think ?

by the way there are a big difference between our opinions and our actions.

i read your message and i'm not sure that you are able to make the difference...

yes sometimes we would like to kill someone, that's our right, but does it mean what we can kill someone ? No, we can't.

where is the link with the cannibal ?

do you think cannibal are civilized persons ? could you tell us what the cannibal brought to the civilisation ? (out of "how cook a human in 10 lessons" XD)

i think you forgotten Hitler as example in your message...

A. don't know why you ask a so stupid question... people eat alive fish, this is not new. by the way this is a chinese recipe calls yin yang fish. yes because even if you pretend to be "good" in biology you aren't really great for the cooking (i'm not too but i lost 2 minutes on my time on google to find informations and it avoid me to say bullsh*t on the forum XD)

so now you can try to contact all the chinese restaurant who make this recipe and maybe you could find the good place XXXXD

B. because usually when people eat a "yin yang fish" the head move ? i just saw many other video of alive fish "half dead as you call them) and the head never move, just the mouth.

another alive fish of a japeness recipe calls ikezukuri :

its head doesn't move.

C. good for you... but pain is the pain...

as i say in french " hein???"

respect the no-respect, the cruauty isn't very respectful...

do you think people should include the word cruelty in the respect's definition ?

say "yes" to everything isn't the respect but the passivity.

haha  you are funny...i'm choking because of laughter haha

So, you wrote about animal right on forums...good for you

opinions vs actions...interesting thought. Cannibalism is not a part of respecting people. haha omff

BINGO, finally someone got that eating alive fish or half dead fish are NOT NEW...as I was saying in the beginning, whatever floats your boat! In other countries things like this are not a big deal. I dunno why people are so disgusted by these videos...please I have seen a better DISGUSTING video than these. And yes I thought it was fascinating

Are you kidding me...do you really want a link for CANNIBALISM? and Hitler as an example haha

A: haha yes I would like to find this restaurant

B:'Ying yang fish' WTF this is BS

C: huh?

haha you think eating half dead fish is cruelty...and needs no RESPECT.

People are all different and whatever that they put in their stomach is not your problem...whether it is disgusting or not you need to RESPECT these people that eat half dead fish. They don't bother anyone and this videos are made not to annoy people but to show their creativity.

do you really think that's your last message is pertinent ?

you try to have a conversation but you haven't the capacity... the only argument that you are able to put is "ahahahahahhahaahha " you boast without developped a real idea.

when i talked about hilter i talked about the right of "kill" as the cannibal kill their victims.

if i understand well (sorry i first my english isn't perfect and 2 it's hard to understand your message because there is not logic) we should respect the cannibals ?

we should respect killer who don't respect their victims ? because you really think the victims would like to be eaten ?

Cannibals are criminals. and applaud murder and torture isn't the respect but a b*llshit.

by the way murder isn't a new "fashion". same thing for the torture. should we banalized it because this is in our "customs", in our past ?

if i follow our logic, why we should judge people who eat a alive fish if humans do it since centuries ?

for the same reason that we will judge a killer. yes millions people have already been killed but this is not a reason to banalized the murder. that's what we call the evolution.

change the bad customs be be better.

where is the link between Yin Yang fish and bellazon ?

yes i think torture isn't respectful. do you think they respect this fish ?

do you think the fish is agree to be tortured...

you the "fish" specialist maybe you could tell us what the fish could think ?

yes, you aren't a fish but you aren't your father too, as you aren't the homeless in the street, as you aren't the president of the republic.

this is not a reason to say "i don't know what they could think, so i don't take care of a possible suffering because i'm not sure about what they could feel"

by the way as i said you talk about respect and you don't know the difference between the action and the opinion. this is my right to think they are disgusting... but i'm a civilized person and i don't jump on these people, beat them, insult them... i think the respect start with the freedom of thought and you ask the "respect" but you refused that tookobu or i because we think this act disgusting.

you ask the respect but you don't respect our opinion.

sorry but cruelty is certainly not an art!!! and i as already say, if they don't respect the fish and i don't why i should respect them. that's logic.

To consider worthy of esteem; to regard with honor.

Esteem. where is the esteem in the cruelty ?

honor ? this is an honnor to be a killer and don't take care of animal's pain ?

consideration ? do you think is a act of consideration that kill someone for our own pleasure ?

"The act of noticing with attention" yes as we can see people pay really attention to the fish suffering. as you can see everytime when the fish move, they laugh...

caution ? could you tell me where is the caution in this video ? caution to torture an animal and keep it alive ?

so i stop the enumeration of synomymes because you repeat all the time the same things with different words.

violence can be good, as the taste of human blood.

does it means people should drink blood ? :ninja:

haha for a PARISIAN you speak so dexterously...haha are you sure you are PARISIAN and NOT BRITISH? because honeybunny you sounds so AMERICAN

Must I repeat again that 'Everyone is entitled to their own opinions'...hmmm, I think I should explain this because you clearly do NOT understand me.

Tooboku and you (BABY) are allowed to say whatever you want. Clearly your respect is for the fish and NOT for the humans. I on the other hand in this subject is for the humans and their creativity. The poor half dead fish should have never experience this kind of torture but...mankind are very curious and inventive when it comes to food. I did not say that they should torture these fishes and I definitely did NOT mention that it is RIGHT for them to butcher animals or humans.

I was merely stating my opinion that I RESPECT THESE PEOPLE'S CREATIVITY.

Argument is the last thing on my mind last night and even now. What I abhor about this world is when other people are twisting my words and way of thinking.

You have RESPECT for the fish but you are DISRESPECTING those Chinese people that are dining with their family and just enjoying life.

How would you feel when a few people that watched your videos while your family and yourself are eating an usual food in FRANCE and these people disrespected your people by saying 'THIS IS THE MOST REPULSIVE FOOD I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY ENTIRE LIFE'

As I recall France is also known for artistic weird food  and AGAIN I LOVE FRANCE CHEFS FOR THEIR CREATIVITY

hahah, child I have used CANNIBALISM as a metaphor...because you guys are all DISGUSTED by these people eating this HALF DEAD FISH...really IS IT THAT REPULSIVE for these Chinese people to eat something that is HALF DEAD FISH?

Cannibalism had been here for years and years...and if you guys are going to be DISGUSTED. you should research CANNIBALISM or go to other countries heck even in America it's probably still lurking around somewhere.

I NEVER mention that you should RESPECT cannibalism...why are you even thinking about RESPECTING criminals?

These Chinese chef's are NOT criminals...they are CHEFS that wants to change the food environment corporation life. You don't like them eating this repulsive fish because as you put it...it is CRUELTY.

good then stay in the CORPORATION life...eat at MC Donalds, BK, TACO BELL, and other none sense food chain. Who by the way are even worst than Chinese Chefs.

Processed food...MYSTERY BOX.

Ah, I'd like to order 4 chicken sandwich please...it's all good, I didn't see them get BUTCHERED my conscience is clear. And also a LARGE FRIES and a DIET coke...I'm watching my figure

VIOLENCE is NEVER good...let's move on to the next subject 'How do you feel about RELIGION?'

i respect the fish and not the human ? please quote me !

i said i don't respect cruel people and there is a big different... maybe for you cruelty is a notion but the fact is this is not. Beauty is a notion because everyone have different tastes... cruelty is the result of the pain, the suffering of a victims. This is a fact, not a notion and these persons on the video are cruel!

because you are as good for the definitions as you are good for the fish biology please could you give me the definition of "barbary", "cruelty", "crime" and "justice" and can you tell me their link with the word "respect"

This is getting way out of proportion :dontgetit: We are speaking in different language.

These people are CHEFS and NOT criminals. One cannot position these people amongst those criminals that does horrible things to HUMANS.

Cruelty is NOT a NOTION nor an ADMIRATION. It is wrong but in these chefs situation they are NOT harming HUMANS. They are preparing FOOD for people and because of their CREATIVITY they are getting punished.

THIS ASSUMPTION ABOUT THESE CHEFS ARE ABSURD and NOT RIGHT.

CRUELTY to humans is NOT ART...I REPEAT NOT ART. and criminals who does act in this wrong manner are DIFFERENT. They deserve to be PUNISH.

CRUELTY to animals are NOT right as well...but these are fishes for food and NOT pets. There is a huge difference.

Putting these chefs into the criminal category is precisely wrong because these people are just CHEFS...CHEFS in a different culture, environment, and society.

Call them BARBARIC or UNCIVILIZED but that is as far as one should call them. To me they are CHEFS with a vision. Wrong or NOT it is still a vision to create something unusual.

BTW: I was merely answering back because I feel that you have disrespected my views. My views are my views and I am NOT forcing it to anyone. I am entitled to say what I feel and think.

You as well, you are entitle to anything you want to discuss and I respect your opinion even if it's a different language than mine
