Yeh, well there aren't that many Industrialised countries. Just look at the entire southern hemisphere. Its practically all 3rd world, bar Australia. And then we have Asia and India, they have nearly 2/3 of the world's population between them. It's bad. The top 10% of earners in Australia own about 45% of the wealth. I'm assuming it's like that in most Industrialised countries as well.

Sure makes you realise how lucky we are though.

Remember that it is not just how much we earn but how much we can buy with our money. With the rent I pay for my tiny flat I could live almost in a palace somewhere else.

But yeah, I guess we all are lucky. Really poor people don't have internet connection.

I've always been told by my parents not to take the things I have for granted. My dad worked very hard for everything we have and he's always tried to teach my sister and I that we are very, very fortunate.
