December 18, 200816 yr Brad Pitt Talks Taking The Family To France & Celebrating Christmas Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and their six children have settled in France — for a little while. The family will stay put while papa Pitt films his role in Quentin Tarantino’s “Inglourious Basterds,” according to the UK’s Hello magazine.“I’ve been dragging them all from continent to continent lately, so we’re going to have to give them a break soon. For the long term, right now, we’re choosing France,” Brad told Hello, according to MTV UK. “It’s good living there, a really nice way of life.”Though the family spent time this year in Germany and New Orleans, Brad said right now, France is the top.“It’s a place where the kids can run free and not be hassled – we have a good relationship with the locals, and it’s a good base for the family,” he said.Brad admitted that his family, which welcomed two new additions this year – twins Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline — are a rambunctious, but loving, bunch.“It’s chaos at times but there’s also such joy in our house right now,” he told Hello. “I look down at the family and I see our boy from Vietnam, and our daughter from Ethiopia, and our girl’s from Namibia and our son who’s from Cambodia and… they are all brothers and sisters, man. They are all the same blood.”And though it isn’t easy raising six children, Brad said he was proud that he and partner Angelina, have such joyous little ones.“It is such elation to see them all living together, and getting along together, and to know that we were able to give them a home – in some cases, to give them a life,” he said. “It’s a wonderful thing that we are able to do this because of the jobs we have – and it’s a selfish thing, too, because the rewards are extraordinary.”And perhaps, because those rewards are so, well, rewarding, Brad and Angelina don’t usually spend hefty amounts on each other at Christmas.“We do exchange gifts, although we don’t feel any pressure to make them big or expensive gifts,” Brad told Hello. And the children don’t receive big gifts either, in part Brad said, because he and Angelina don’t allow their brood to watch cartoon shows packed with ads for the latest and greatest toy creations.“When they do see that stuff is when they start asking for the toys, so we figure if they don’t see them, they won’t know they’re there. So we have gifts, but we try to keep the money spent to a minimum,” he said.Another way the charitable family keeps costs low is by focusing on homemade gifts.“The rule is that everyone’s got to make something for someone else, you got to put time into it,” Brad said. “Then, when they give to each other, it’s really sweet.” Source: http://www.accesshollywood.com/brad-pitt-t...s_article_12695

December 23, 200816 yr Angelina Jolie Covers Germany’s Comopolitan Angelina Jolie takes the January 2009 cover of Germany’s Comopolitan. Interview highlights as follows: On finding time for her family, acting career and commitment as a UN ambassador: “Well, I do take my time outs. And most of all I do receive support from Brad [Pitt]. We are a good team. That is important to me and gives me strength… I cannot sit quietly while others die of hunger and children. My commitment for the United Nations I do not want to abandon. The play has no greater priority. In February, I still turn a movie, then I suppose one years off.” On surviving each day without a nervous breakdown: “I’m very disciplined. I have a balanced diet and among other things I do Pilates. If I’m fit I feel more comfortable and I do have a lot more energy.” On playing the role of a mother in Changeling, whose son disappears without a trace: “Just the idea of such a possibility made me go completely crazy. Initially, I wanted to cancel it. But the strength and self abandonment of this woman made be accept the role.”
