LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE
but i mean, bring them in, as much as they did in the original
68wolff
I think that would be good. I know a lot of trek fans (me included) that would like to see them.

68wolff
Not really excited, a little to brainy and a little kiddy (for lack of a better word). His original character was a balance of the two which I would rather see.

Michael*
I agree to young, but only time will tell, I'm ready for the new one I think the original Chekov was supposed to be a similar age, it's just that he never looked it.
Sweet Lu
yes, Chekov was suppsoed to be younger than the rest of them. he was brought in to try and get the teen demographic, specifically the teen girls, as they wanted someone that looked like Davey Jones. (go figure)

(go figure) To be fair to original Chekov, he did suffer some stressful times. Apart from the Alien-like creature he got in his ear in II, he also (if I remember rightly) fell off the ship in IV. That would age anyone by a few years.
Sweet Lu
lollll. true. Those ear thigns in II still give me the creeps.that is what we need for a sequel though is KAHNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!
68wolff
The ear bugs still give me the creeps also. Chekov did have it rough at times but I can't think of a better weapons officer. As much as I like the Kahn, and in a way would like to see more, not sure if a sequel about him would work. Who could play that part as good as Ricardo Montalban.

They'll probably have a similar theme to the first movie with a new villain leading a familiar group of enemies.
Frederick
The villain was undoubtedly one of the film's weak links. Bana was agreeably sinister but his character was just far too blatantly stupid.
LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE
I think it was more he was TRYING to hard, i dont see BANA as villan matrial, there are FAR better character actors than he was, that could pull it off better
Frederick
Possibly. I think the character itself was the bigger problem, though.
LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE
I think IF the character had have been played right, it could have been better, but the whole revenge thing over a woman dying, was done in wrath of khan, granted it was ALSO about his planet being destoryed as well
