KAKA' ON UEFA

Milan - Ricky Kakà spoke with Uefa.com about his sixth strike in the Champions League: 'It's been a funny campaign for me. Although I'm top goalscorer, scoring is not my main objective when I play. I also like to contribute in other areas but clearly it gives me great satisfaction be up at the top of the charts with all those great strikers. It's been a very special UEFA Champions League for me so far.'

Kaka makes AC Milan pledge

Milan star Kaka has reiterated that he is happy at Milan and does not want to leave, despite Real Madrid’s courtship.

The Brazilian was paired with the Merengues last summer, when the Spanish giants first started their moves to bring him to the Santiago Bernabeu, despite Milan’s statements that the 24-year-old was not for sale.

Real Madrid renewed their interest in the player recently, but Kaka reassured the Rossoneri fans that he is going nowhere.

“Milan and this city are very important for me, more from a human point of view than as a footballer,” said the attacking midfielder, who is contracted to the club until 2011.

“I have only played in two sides, Sao Paulo and Milan. I feel affection for the clubs I represent, I am a faithful person when it comes to football, just like I am with my friends and my wife,” added ‘Ricky’.

“Last year I renewed my deal to show that I wanted to stay. I play in a team that I like.

“I want to give my all for Milan and I would like to be remembered in the club’s history as one of the players who have won a great deal. In any case, I want to tell the supporters that I will see them all next year.”

Kaka is only one of the Rossoneri’s Brazilians and he admitted that he was pleased after Ronaldo’s arrival at the San Siro in January.

“He has always been an example for me, I grew up looking at him and today I am very excited to be able to play beside him. Football is a special sport, especially for the strong emotions it can give you,” concluded Kaka.

Meanwhile, Chelsea star Andriy Shevchenko rang up the ‘Milan Channel’ programme to wish Kaka all the best for this season. The two players said they hoped to meet again in Athens for the Champions League Final.

LOYAL BY NATURE

Ricky Kakà is looking ahead in the same direction as the Rossoneri fans and has maintained he is content at Milan as he will prove next season again

Ricky Kakà was the guest on Milan Channel where he answered questions sent in by fans. The Brazilian was quick to point out where his loyalities lie and said: 'Milan, the city of Milan is the most important thing for me, as a person and as a professional. I have only played for two teams: San Paolo and Milan. I am very attached to the teams, I am loyal by nature. That goes for my friends, wife and things in general.'

As for the rumours of a possible move: 'In the summer I knew that Milan had done nothing and in the middle of the chaos I signed a contract. I renewed to show as an act of faith to everyone who wanted me to stay. I like playing for the team.'

The big Brazilian family has a new member at Milan and Ricky was full of praise for Ronaldo: 'He was always an example. I grew up watching him and today I have the chance to play alongside him, it's wonderful. This is the special emotion I get from football.' Another emotion is the Champions League: 'I do everything for Milan, I am one of those who has not won the Champions League and I really want to win it. I wanted to be remembered as a Milan player who won a lot. I want to take many roads.'

Kakà then commented on Dida's contract exptension: 'There exists two categories of goalkeepers: normal and out of this world. The latter can perform miracles, Dida is one of those. I am pleased he has extended his contract and a Brazilian who will remain at Milan as a team-mate.' In a final salute to the fans: 'We will see you all next season.' That say it all in terms of where Ricky's future lies.
