February 7, 200916 yr Author Interview : Lestat : How did it all begin ? Guillaume : I didn’t actually chose fashion. Fashion chose me. I was given my chance whereas I was like miles away from this world. In spite of big glasses, an old granny woolen sweater and swaddy-cropped hair, Belgian photographer Roger Hennaux scouted me on the Internet. Redneck me never left Britanny before and I was about to take the train for the first time in my life, aged 19, in order to have “nice simple photographs” done. But when this photocall got online, requests started rolling in, contacts building up, and here I am now, working with an agency and stuff ! Lestat : What’s a working day like in actuality ? Guillaume : Unlike what you may think, this job is no picnic. You gotta cope with shoots, assignments, shows, etc… Besides, it’s important to foster these contacts, you know. And of course, working out as often as I can. Fashion is a passion, so I don’t count hours ! Lestat : Who / what inspires you ? Guillaume : People in general are a major source of inspiration. I am like naturally curious, I'm interested in relationships and the others help me sorta improve myself. Chatting to new people and meeting up with them are real hobbies. Lestat : How were the shoots like so far ? Guillaume : I’ve been way critical of my work. But you know, I only had mighty good times ! Some admittedly more tiring than others, but all exciting. I remember this shoot, it was dramatically stringent, I had to strike the same pose for a couple hours and you know, I got in a state of nerves. Lestat : Speaking of which, you posed in your skivvies, do you have limits ? Guillaume : Sure thing, I do ! I'm positive. By the way, underwear really turns me on. When you’re barely clad (pun intended) in front of the lense, you oughta control your entire bod, even your face, in any position. I don’t exactly wanna get naked, but if a juicy bit of assignment shows up, I’ll think it over ! Lestat : Does it bother your girlfriend you are in the public eye ? Guillaume : I’ll skip this one ! Am I in a relationship, am I single ? I keep it private. Mystery creates a demand, you know. Lestat : What are your projects ? Guillaume : I’m done with my studies in May. I’ll then be heading for Paris to get closer to the real McCoy, I mean, fashion business, you know, everything I love. I also wanna travel the world and the seven seas. But business trips are already scheduled. Lestat : Is love important to you ? Guillaume : Ah, love… big question. Lestat : Oh my ! One more stupid question tho : what do you wear to bed ? Guillaume : I admit it, nothing when I’m home. Lestat : I see the point, LOL ! And do you spend much time on the Internet ? Guillaume : As I don’t currently reside in Paris, I do spend quite some time online chatting to fash-related persons. I’m very practical, you know, I like all my senses to be wide awake when I’m talking to someone, I need to smell their fragrance, to see their hands, their shoes, their body language. But I am also way beautifully busy enough with my studies and my job. Lestat : Answer the question you’d like to be asked. Guillaume : Wow, lucky me ! The question is : do you answer anyone who get in touch with you, even if they have nothing to offer you ? Sure thing I do !
