September 7, 20177 yr Yeah I loved the Australian interviews as well. But I don't know if it's her publicists or what, but even with them she isn't how she used to be. It's annoying to me because I don't think anyone else has changed so much. Her only talking about kora, and trying to get it in to every possible conversation is really annoying. We keep hearing that now she only answers things that are pre approved. And she never publically cleared up the Malaysian businessman scandal.

September 9, 20177 yr The day you find out that even rising young models like Kaia Gerber (upcoming issue of Vogue UK) have better editorials that Miranda
September 9, 20177 yr True I miss seeing her on location shoots. Feels so nostalgic. She was great in her old work. Now most of the stuff is shot at her home (which is beautiful, nonetheless!) but just robotic. Not sure if it's because brands are dropping her or she's cutting back herself.
September 10, 20177 yr i've always thought longevity in the modelling industry is very hard especially acquiring new models have become so easier and a brand new criteria has come up to the standards list. *cough* followers *cough*. it's one of the industries who expose fresh faces and therefore people could easily get tired of the same faces all over again. That is why you see a model from a previous season rise the fuck out and completely fall out the next season. It's an industry where leverage can decrease rapidly and disposable probability is very much alive. I hate the notion of Miranda becoming irrelevant but she seems to just pushing the theme of it all to herself. I think brands would like to have her it's just that maybe she had enough? 20 years is really a lot though it could take a toll other examples such as Evangelista who is completely hidden atm and Gemma Ward who retired 2 times in this decade also Heidi Klum who isn't modelling anymore (from what I think she is). I just honestly think that Miranda is one of these models. She's like she just doesn't feel it anymore but she's still down for modelling side works particularly where the pay is good. I think we've all seen this coming once she decided to create Kora and then the sudden leave for VS and David Jones. Swarovski was our only hope but that too ended last year. sigh. The fact that rising young models are in demand really makes the competition tougher for veteran models who would still like to burst to the scene. Plus the inexplicable existence of instagram models who would do everything to be relevant makes it whole lot complicated.
September 10, 20177 yr To be honest I don't buy her excuses, the are not reliable. "So she stopped working with Swarovski and Mother; she designs bags for Japanese label Samantha Thavasa " (Interview for THE EDIT). Swarovski - well known brand with tradition, VS uses them, they are in Cannes, Swarovski's campaigns can be found in magazines all over the world - but no, it's better to design for a brand who doesn't have ads in European or American magazines and many people ask: Samantha.... what?. I guess now she also designed clothes for Mei.com? As I wrote many times before, her choices are weird. Family is the most important thing for her, yeah but this fact does not bother her to work in 95% for Asian brands and to travel so far while there are some many other brands in US. She exchanged high fashion, catwalks and Paris for 24/7 gym and organic soups. Dear God... Does she even care about her other projects? The second campaign for Royal Albert doesn't even have professional pictures. She said that she is working on her third book but it was ages ago. Launching her denim collection for Mother was small and poor. IMO she had bigger events for Kora Organics in Australia than in Sephora. Does her husband know that world of science and fashion industry have different rules? Constantly talking about expensive Kora products doesn't do her any favour. She became pushy. Plus after her recent interview for The Edit she scored new enemies among feminists. What happened with Miranda? This girl tries so hard that almost every time she fails and achieves the opposite effect. Maybe it's time to change the advisers? Too many crystals, pink unicorns, butterflies and jumping jacks..... And playing silly during interviews became really annoying. I've always considered her as a lady but now she behaves like she was 12. She is trying too hard to show the world that she can joke and be funny

And playing silly during interviews became really annoying. I've always considered her as a lady but now she behaves like she was 12. She is trying too hard to show the world that she can joke and be funny ^^^^^^ EXACTLY!!! Plus she seems to have forgotten that the reason why KORA was successful at first and had NYT best-selling books was because of her fans, who loved her work.... how many fans are there now? how many of us are left here? No offense but if you noticed during her Sephora event in Chicago and others, 90% of fans who took pictures with her were Asians.... the ones who have campaigns of her on their streets. KORA was doing better in 2009-2010, because at the time "organic" was her products differential point. Now, "organic" has become epidemic amongst all products, her products are REALLY EXPENSIVE which is irrelevant against how she always market them as daily-usage products and her stand-up point against her competitors is "they are all fake organic products without certification". In Miranda's case, she pushed herself out of the competition right before GIGI and Co. ... I mean if modelling is short-term, look at Gisele & Kate Moss! It's shocking to see a model who's only been in the industry for a year has far better editorials than Miranda's entire career... which has nothing to do with the advanced fashion and technology age... because her 2008-2012 editorials are far better than her 2014-2017 ones. The worse of the worst, is to market your products and your "boring" lifestyle as the magic tools for eternal health and youth meanwhile you are obsessed with artificial beauty tricks, and completely dangerous and crazy tricks such as leeches and your business role-model and friend is GOOP's Founder (whom I don't need to talk about her reputation).... I can go on forever.... I must say I'm only here now cause I keep up with her recent work (a habit maybe) but as someone who's been her fan since I was 16, I must tell you she turned out to be a stereotype (Never have I ever thought I would I say this, but this broke my heart as typed it)
