Articles about Crazy Eyes: Lukas Haas is a Poor Little Rich Boy Between Sofia Coppola's Somewhere, Steve McQueen's Shame, and now Adam Sherman's Crazy Eyes, I'm starting to suspect that being rich and handsome and having lots of sex is the worst possible fate that could befall a guy. Especially, it seems, if you're in L.A., a city where, as Crazy Eyes star Lukas Haas morosely notes in a voiceover, "if you're one in a million, there are still seven more just like you." Haas stars as Zach, a Hollywood millionaire who finds that no amount of girls or booze can give his existence meaning. Enter "Crazy Eyes"(Madeline Zima), a woman who becomes Zach's drinking buddy and the object of his affections just as his family life spirals out of control. Despite its groaningly familiar premise, Crazy Eyes earned compliments upon its SXSW debut for its bracing honesty, its dark sense of humor, and the strong performances from its leads. One clue that the film harbors no illusions about its self-absorbed protagonist comes when Zach wistfully expresses a desire to Rebecca (a.k.a. Crazy Eyes) to live inside a toy. "Maybe you have time and money to sit around wishing you could move inside a snow globe, but I have real problems," she snaps. And Rebecca herself comes across as the farthest thing from a dream girl, despite Zach's crush on her. Falling drunk out of cars in front of your date's family isn't exactly the stuff of idealized romance. Strand Releasing has Crazy Eyes scheduled for a limited release July 6. Strand Releasing has debuted the official trailer for indie dramedy Crazy Eyes, starring Lukas Haas and Madeline Zima and Jake Busey. This quirky little dramatic comedy is set mostly in Los Angeles, following a "rich boy" who meets a girl unlike anyone he calls "Crazy Eyes" that he can't have, but of course there's all kinds of tension and drama and things going on. I'm a fan of Lukas Haas, you may recognize him from Brick or Alpha Dog or Death in Love or Inception or Contraband, and I like seeing him in good lead roles where he really fits the role. This looks intriguing, I'm curious to check it out. First Trailer for Crazy Eyes with Lukas Haas and Madeline Zima Starring Lukas Haas (Inception) in the lead, Crazy Eyes is due out in the US this summer and has had its first trailer debut tonight. Adam Sherman (Hapiness Runs, producer of Wristcutters: A Love Story) returns behind the camera for his second film, and Apple have debuted the first trailer ahead of its July release in the US. Though it won't be topping the box office (going up against The Amazing Spider-Man), it looks promising and will hopefully find its audience. Madeline Zima (Californication, Heroes) co-stars alongside Jake Busey (Good Vibes) and Tania Raymonde (Lost), with Sherman directing from a script he co-wrote with newcomers Dave Reeves and Rachel Hardisty. Album?? haha I was messaging Berthold, on mobli, over the last couple of days. Here is what he has told me about Lukas. Me: How was Lukas introduced to music? Berthold: Lukas discoverd the beatles when he was 6, fell head over heels in love with their music, brought a drum set at the age of 8 and he's played and recorded ever since. Me: You should encourage Lukas to release an album. It would be great to see him make it big. Berthold: Thanks, I'll tell him what you said! Berthold also told me that Lukas' brothers, Nikolai and Simon, also own their own company called The Haas Brothers, in which they make furniture Of course, Berthold owns his company Berthold Haas Design and has worked as a team for 15 years. I cant help thinking Lukas is better, music wise, rather than with his hands [designing]. The pair embarks on an unexpectedly deep and important friendship that is marked by Zach's continued attempts to bed Rebecca, and her constant rebuffs (she claims she has a boyfriend, she says she needs to be choked unconscious to have sex, they're both always too drunk) of his advances. haha I cant wait to see Crazy Eyes.... Lukas is currently at Cannes, so hopefully he will upload some amazing pics to Mobli or the paps take some. Chuck Pacheco - One of my high school classmates Emily Oosterveen is chuck pacheco daughter. He is the biggest duche bag on the planet- This guy denies his own daughter, he pretends she doesnt exist. Again, I just love all of him Contraband, I havn't seen it yet, but once it's released onto dvd in Aus, I am totally buying it!! 26th May, there was a "possible" sighting of Lukas at Yorkdale Mall, Toronto.
