TheDude2k Posted January 31 Posted January 31 I haven't seen any new social media posts, reels, or stories from Jojo since the LA fires started in the Palisades, so I believe she may have lost her new home. I hope I'm wrong and am eager to see her on her social again to understand what may have happened. 🙏 Quote

I hope I'm wrong and am eager to see her on her social again to understand what may have happened. 🙏 I don't think you should expect information or regular posts for a while longer. The election did not turn out as she had hoped; Alex's grandfather died, and then the LA fires. Life is not giving her good cards right now. I think so on the one hand, she does not post about the situation for security reasons (many robbers appeared; insurance company surveys are taking place), on the other hand, she knows that many have failed more than her (whose property there was all their wealth). It is one of the richest countries and regions in the world, and they are even richer within it. The posts can generate a lot of tension and negative feedback, it is a much wiser strategy to remain silent. A good part of her income comes from social media, she has already said that it should be used well and that is why she avoids problematic situations. A lot depends on their insurance (in principle, due to frequent fires, it was not possible to conclude a new contract; many previous contracts were terminated by the companies; and now many insurance companies may go bankrupt, etc.). If sources are correct, Josephine's net worth is $12 million (Alex's is about $2 million), so losing the $5.2 million house would be a big blow to them; fortunately, it is far from fatal. But even if the insurance company pays in full or the house remained intact, the environment is almost certainly not pleasant, almost unlivable in the area. And this is the more serious factor, not even the financial part. They finally found and form the home where they wanted to live and raise their children (within 1-3 years, another child could probably have arrived). The memories of Aurora's first year, this calm time and environment, are now lost. But I'm sure Josephine and her little girl are fine, that's the main thing. 🙏And as Anthony Hopkins wrote: „As we all struggle to heal from the devastation of these fires, it's important we remember that the only thing we take with us is the love we give." Thank you and Bettina for the many continuous updates and shares.👍 Quote

Thank you and Bettina for the many continuous updates and shares.👍 That's a very reasonable assessment. I suspected her absence on social media for this extended duration indicated that her new home was lost in the fires. Social media is probably the last thing on her mind, and no doubt her privacy should be respected. I really do feel bad for Jo and her family because they had just moved in after the renovations in what appeared to be their forever home for the foreseeable future. It was a very beautiful home featured by AD last year. Let's hope we hear from Jo soon and that she's doing alright given the circumstances, as she and many of her neighbors start the rebuilding process, assuming they don't relocate somewhere else, even in the interim. 🙏 Quote
skrivermodel Posted February 1 Posted February 1 Hey everyone! FYI, their house was sold in December of last year so I'm not sure they were still living there... https://www.redfin.com/CA/Pacific-Palisades/1116-Cumbre-Alta-Ct-90272/home/6849121 Quote

Three other sources confirm that it has been on sale since August and sold on December 5, 2024, discounting 9%.😮 https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/1116-Cumbre-Alta-Ct-Pacific-Palisades-CA-90272/20548492_zpid/ https://www.coldwellbankerhomes.com/ca/pacific-palisades/1116-cumbre-alta-ct/pid_61004646/ https://www.compass.com/listing/1116-cumbre-alta-court-pacific-palisades-ca-90272/1642250458881316473/ This is a big surprise, because according to previous articles and information, they had been looking for their home for a long time, this was their second house in Los Angeles, they invested a lot of time and ideas in it, it seemed like a long-term home. So the situation is completely different than we thought... Quote
TheDude2k Posted February 1 Posted February 1 Hopefully, they moved out before the home was sold. It does however make you wonder why they sold the home they had just moved into it last year, and it was to be there forever home to raise their child/children. Prior to LA, they were living in Nashville (where I think Taylor Hill still resides). I'm sure many of us are now curious what's going on; time will tell. Good discussion. Quote
TheDude2k Posted February 2 Posted February 2 Based on these MLS images, it definitely looks like the area where the fires destroyed homes. Considering the size of the home, I'm surprised how small the lot is with barely any room between the neighboring homes. But then again, I'm not familiar with Cali real estate. And if you overlay that location with the official Palisades Fire map, it looks like their sold home got hit. https://www.fire.ca.gov/incidents/2025/1/7/palisades-fire Quote

I think I saw that he's planning a trip to India in one of his most recent stories. About the home... looks like they sold it just in time for the fires, and the new owner probably got the short end of the stick. Selling that place so soon after all the renovations and a newborn baby? I smell financial troubles... Some might call it 'karma' after everything that's come out about him. Hope I'm wrong! She definitely deserves the best, even though she tied the knot with him. Quote
