August 12, 2024Aug 12 Liked it much better than I expected 😄 @Lilja K LOVED the aesthetics/soundtrack of the movie. Also this scene? I'm stunned how much I liked the dynamic/chemistry between Freeman and Jenna. Through her eyes I almost believed he's attractive. Blaming her convincing acting for that 😄 Spoiler Would have liked the movie even better if she wouldn't gone nuts towards the 2nd part of the movie and if it wasn't implied that she lied about their relationship.

They literally carried the whole movie, especially Jenna. I'd also like the script to be a little different. Heroine shows sociopathic and narcissistic traits in the 2nd half, I'd rather she remained just an outsider teen prodigy.

IMHO they should have left the Prometheus influences out. I see Prometheus as another concept entirely. I like the Alien creature as something more simple- just a space predator like in the comics. We don't need to know about their origins other than how they originated from some planet.. and certainly they don't need to be a something made in a lab. The Starcraft games (inspired by Starship troopers) did it the best - made them a part of the Zerg ecosystem. The comics have them as an inter-galactic infestation, like the Zerg/Starship troopers that the Colonial Marines/humanity is struggling against.
