Lovely moments with Kate! I love these 2 ♥️♥️. Thanks for sharing @Jade Bahr

No word if Leo will be involved in this but since Marty hardly work with other actors anymore I assume he is until someone says otherwise.

Martin Scorsese's ‘Home' Lands at Apple Studios

So, it turns out that Martin Scorsese, Kent Jones and Todd Field are very serious in their intentions of adapting author Marilynne Robinson’s acclaimed “Gilead” novels.

Scorsese is first up as he’s set to direct “Home,” with Field and Jones writing the screenplay. I was told this morning that Apple Studios has landed the film, and that the plan is shoot it in early 2025. A cast is being quietly assembled, with one key A-lister already lined up for the lead role.

Scorsese previously teamed up with Apple on “Killers of the Flower Moon,” and is executive producing their “Cape Fear” series, starring Javier Bardem, which had been announced yesterday. “Killers of the Flower Moon” had a robust theatrical rollout last fall, and one would expect the same thing to happen for “Home.”

“Home” will probably be a more intimate film for Scorsese, not as epic as the previous ones of the last 20 years, most of which were these big-budget epics. I presume this will be a very faithful retelling of Robinson’s prize-winning novel.

Scorsese, Field and Jones are also turning Robinson’s “Jack” into a screenplay and, I’m told, Field is eyeing to adapt “Gilead” as his next film. It should be noted that Robinson used characters and events from her landmark 2004 novel “Gilead” to publish three more books: “Home” (2008) “Lila” (2014) and “Jack” (2020).

In “Gilead,” an aged narrator, Ames, who has lived his entire life in a small Iowa town, is writing down his life story for his young son. The story of “Gilead” and Ames grew into this series of books, with each of those novels retelling the events of “Gilead” from the perspective of a different character.

There is no word yet on who would direct “Jack,” maybe Jones? With that said, what we’re seeing here is a uniquely ambitious trilogy taking shape. Jones, a former film critic, directed 2019’s critically acclaimed low-budget indie “Diane,” and is set to shoot his sophomore effort —“Late Fame” —next year.

Scorsese’s reps and Apple were reached for comment, but were unavailable to respond as of this publishing. I’ll update the article accordingly.

Rodrigo Prieto Says Scorsese's ‘Sinatra' Was “Supposed to Be Filming Now"

What a downer to think about how Martin Scorsese was very close to having a film come out next year, but alas, that clearly hasn’t materialized as production on his long gestating “Sinatra” was suddenly postponed in the summer.

Cinematographer Rodrigo Prieto, who shot Scorsese’s “Silence” and “Killers of the Flower Moon,” is telling The Film Stage that his schedule is currently empty because he had set aside dates to shoot “Sinatra” this month.

We were supposed to be filming now; that’s why I couldn’t do other films. [Laughs] So anyway: I’m in the waiting process and hopeful that everything will come together […] I don’t know if I’m supposed to say this, but I think it was published and that was…

It’s come to the point where Prieto might have to prep for a whole other Scorsese project as “Sinatra” seems to be a major question mark at the moment:

It’s common that things push, so I thought “it’s going to push,” but now I don’t know even what it is that we’re doing next. I don’t know, and I prefer not to ask. It’s on a need-to-know basis, but I do know that he wants me to do it.

Unless the standstill on “Sinatra” suddenly lifts, and if you’re a betting man, put down all of your chips on “Home” being Scorsese’s next one. As I had previously reported, his “Life of Jesus” script is not ready at the moment.

“Sinatra” was supposed to star Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence. There’s been no word yet as to why it was suddenly delayed at the last minute. Something tells me it might have to do with the Sinatra estate’s disapproval about the entire project.

For over a decade the Sinatra family has attempted to block Scorsese from making the biopic about Frank, and recent comments by Nancy Sinatra made it sound like they were still not interested. I’m not sure if Scorsese will somehow manage to convince them, but I remain skeptical.

^I don't understand how this would've worked at all. I mean isn't JLaw very visible pregnant right now?

Exactly, I'am thinking that was supposed to be filming now but than she got pregnant, I think this might be the real reason... Remember Leo and Scorsese had a dinner with Jennifer in Canada? IF they were supposed to be filming now than there was no disapproval from the family.

I guess now they will have to wait till she gives birth and obviously more months till the baby is a bit bigger, IDK how much time though, I think it depends on Jennifer's decision. Or they decide for another actress, but I don't think Jennifer would want this role to escape.

😍♥️
