Leonardo DiCaprio catches some rays while on a boat in the Sydney Harbor on Saturday (September 17) in Sydney, Australia.

The 36-year-old actor was joined by Tobey Maguire and his wife Jennifer Meyer, and their two children Ruby and Otis. Leo and Tobey are currently filming The Great Gatsby in Australia.

Leonardo is the cover man of GQ magazine's October issue! He opened up to the mag about how he does not care if his films are financially successful.

"Unless you want to prove that you can carry a film with your name, continuously trying to achieve box-office success is a dead end," Leo said (via Us Weekly).

Star struck with Leo

He makes a living performing in front of the cameras, but off duty Leonardo DiCaprio is camera shy, as PS discovered at Thursday night's The Star launch. Each time PS attempted to take his shot, a burly bodyguard would block him from view. DiCaprio, who was sipping some very expensive whisky and wearing his trademark baseball cap, also had a ''decoy'' with him, wearing a similar outfit to the star, who was used to create diversions so the ''real Leonardo'' could move about undetected by the masses. But it was most definitely the ''real Leonardo'' who was in his own VIP area later in the evening at the bar Cherry as a succession of some of Sydney's most beautiful women were presented before him, his minders going into the bar area on what appeared to be fishing expeditions for the actor, bringing back their prize catches for his personal perusal

The person who took the tweet picture is the columnist behind all the Daily Telegraph Sydney Confidential columns we've posted, so I think she knows the real Leo , and is the woman who asked him to comment in Daily Telegraph article and he declined which was stated in Daily Telegraph article.

I don't remember who it was , but wasn't someone looking for pix of Leo and Koko from long ago ?

Leo strikes suite casino deal

He has only been in Australia for weeks, but Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio has already upped stumps.

DiCaprio, who is filming The Great Gatsby in Sydney, has reportedly moved out of the seven-bedroom waterfront property that he has been calling home since arriving here.

A quest for greater privacy has seen the hot-shot actor move into a suite at the newly refurbished Sydney casino, The Star.

DiCaprio made a surprise appearance at a party for the new-look casino on Thursday night.

I think what JouJou was saying was that the whole decoy story is likely true because if they were able to get those twitpics of him with ONJ, by himself, and with the wedgie how come none with none of the women. She linked to that pic because they were calling one of Leo's bodyguards his "decoy" because they were dressed similarly by both wearing hats despite the fact that they look nothing alike (she linked to the shopping pics to prove that). I don't think that story's true either because according to the DJ at The Star Leo left pretty early:

Below is her column in which she mentions Leo talking at great length with Russell, Russell's wife, Eloise Pratt ,etc. She mentions the two men talked in a private room off to the side of the bar which is probably where Leo spent most of the time he was there versus main bar area. There is no mention by her of him having a decoy or supposedly getting his friends to bring beautiful women over to him .

OF all the celebrities to turn up at the re-launch of The Star last night, Leonardo DiCaprio was a surprise but significant last-minute add to the guest list.

Hollywood's highest-earning actor made a secret entrance towards the end of event about 10pm and spent time chatting with his acting cohort Russell Crowe in the private dining room of Black by Ezard.

Wearing jeans, T-shirt, black leather jacket and the baseball cap he has been wearing whenever he goes out in Sydney, DiCaprio drank water as he socialised.

He spoke at length with Eloise Pratt, daughter of late tycoon Richard. "He's an incredibly charismatic man and I liken him to a young Laurence Olivier," Ms Pratt said.

When approached by The Daily Telegraph, DiCaprio apologised and said he was not commenting.

Exactly, I'd rather believe a source that was there and able to provide a twitpic than some random journalist making stuff up. We are on the same page I was supporting your point with the DJ's tweet who basically said Leo left early to.

The man that wrote the silly decoy article probably saw that woman's twitpic of Leo and his bodyguard dressed similarly with the hats and his imagination ran away with him with all the talk about "decoys" and whatnot.

^Yeah I was also hesitant to believe the decoy story! I think it was very creative writing, and they just took a blurry, dark twitpic to try to make it seem true!

HE'S been anything but smiles in the weeks he's been here, but yesterday Leonardo DiCaprio finally looked like he was having a good time as he hit Sydney Harbour with his Great Gatsby co-star Tobey Maguire - but his happy mood was short-lived.

DiCaprio, who took along his mum Irmelin, wore boardshorts and a T-shirt as he helped Maguire's daughter, Ruby, onto the boat, called San Giorgio.

Wearing a baseball cap (a trademark look of his), DiCaprio made the boat's skipper return to the wharf just minutes after they set sail, after he discovered the group was being followed by the paparazzi.

Meanwhile, flamboyant Gatsby director Baz Luhrmann celebrated his 49th birthday with a party at his Sydney home yesterday.

Luhrmann and wife Catherine Martin opened the doors of their Darlinghurst mansion to host the family-friendly bash yesterday.

Gatsby starlet Carey Mulligan, along with DiCaprio and Maguire, were on the guest list along with a bunch of recognisable Australian faces and their children.

Do notice the silliness that Leo is so miserable it has the studio and gov't concerned, and that a six man security team swept through the room before he appeared.

Considering we've seen reports of him shopping/at Juice bars/chocolate stores, dining at different restaurants with friends and fellow cast members, going to Beach Haus several Fridays in row, it seems to me , contrary to their claims, that Leo is enjoying his stay as well .
