wickedcrazyness Posted February 26, 2008 Posted February 26, 2008 Harry Potter and the Half-Blood PrinceVoldemort is tightening his grip on both the Muggle and wizarding worlds and Hogwarts is no longer the safe haven it once was. Harry suspects that dangers may even lie within the castle, but Dumbledore is more intent upon preparing him for the final battle that he knows is fast approaching. Together they work to find the key to unlock Voldemort's defenses and, to this end, Dumbledore recruits his old friend and colleague, the well-connected and unsuspecting bon vivant Professor Horace Slughorn, whom he believes holds crucial information. Meanwhile, the students are under attack from a very different adversary as teenage hormones rage across the ramparts. Harry finds himself more and more drawn to Ginny, but so is Dean Thomas. And Lavender Brown has decided that Ron is the one for her, only she hadn't counted on Romilda Vane's chocolates! And then there's Hermione, simpering with jealousy but determined not to show her feelings. As romance blossoms, one student remains aloof. He is determined to make his mark, albeit a dark one. Love is in the air, but tragedy lies ahead and Hogwarts may never be the same again. Quote

wickedcrazyness Posted March 4, 2008 Author Posted March 4, 2008 There will be a scene in the movie that wasn't in the bookDavid Barron has revealed to the Herald Sun that a new scene has been added in the upcoming Half-Blood Prince film in order to remind moviegoers that nowhere is safe. Having JK Rowling's approval of the scene, Barron is confident that people will like it:But this was brought in because Jo (Rowling) was able throughout the quite lengthy book to keep dropping little snippets of what was happening in the outside world - there'd be people reading newspapers and talking about how somebody's parents had been killed, or somebody had been withdrawn from school because their parents didn't think it was safe. And we're making aware that the Muggle world is also experiencing these disasters, but thinks they are disasters rather than the work of Voldemort. The book is peppered with those moments, but we couldn't do that quite so easily in the film.So (the extra scene) comes in the middle of the film and it just reminds us the world is no longer a safe place. Even in what would normally be considered the safe haven of the Burrow, nobody's safe.credit: mugglenet.com Quote

[ Vyxen ] Posted April 5, 2008 Posted April 5, 2008 Does anyone know if they're going to cast Bill or Charlie Weasley for the next installment? If at all? Considering Bill marries Fleur and is also turned partially werewolf (Which I think that happened in the sixth book, the werewolf thing that is...) o_o Quote

[ Vyxen ] Posted April 5, 2008 Posted April 5, 2008 Wonder what they're going to cut from the sixth movie, aside from the obvious Bill & Charlie chop... Ooh, the part where Harry sectusempra's Malfoy would be an awesome scene. Hopefully they've kept that *____* Quote
